Product Research

Features

Overview: This package includes a mono subwoofer amplifier and a hatchback style enclosure loaded with two 12" woofers.

Enclosure: The sealed enclosure is built from 5/8" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and is covered in aviation grade carpet. Two 12" 4Ω subwoofers are installed, internally wired in parallel, to present a 2Ω load.

Amplifier: The mono amplifier output is 250 watts RMS at 2Ω. It has a pair of RCA inputs, as well as a speaker-level input harness. There is also a pair of RCA outputs, so you can connect another amplifier without having to run a second pair of RCA cables back to your headunit. The low-pass crossover is adjustable from 40-400 Hz. The power, ground, and speaker output wire is attached to set-screw terminals. (8-gauge power wire is recommended.)

Note: For this system the amplifier's crossover should be set to low-pass.

It comes with a wired remote. I don't and use it because I don't hear any difference that it makes. I would but an amp wiring kit that has an external fuse box and wire it to your battery. The amp wiring kit will give you everything you need.

How much does it cost to install this? I have never bought or done anything with subwoofers other than drive a vehicle with one that instantly made me decided to get something for my car...what would it take to get this into my car?
[ Guner  Oct 24, 2015 ]

A
Cost of professional installation can vary but we sell pre-paid installation cards here through InstallerNet which is a nationwide network of professional mobile audio installers. The pre-paid cards we have for this type of system would cost about $124.98--here's a link to the 2 cards you'd need: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_597421037/InstallCard-Subwoofer.html?tp=820 & http://www.crutchfield.com/p_597421003/InstallCard-Amp-or-Equalizer.html?tp=820

Q
I will probably put mtx speakers in my doors and hook them up to the amp as well. Will this amp be able to hold all of that?
[ Tristen  Aug 12, 2015 ]
1 answer
A
I wouldn't do that, the box&subs are O.k. I'm using a 1500 watt mono amp. with mine (turned down ). What your trying to do will overheat that amp.
