All you need

When you're looking for bass to rock your ride, there are three things you're looking for: great sound, high power handling, and durability. MTX delivers with the TNE212DV, a rugged ported loaded enclosure with two tough 12" Terminator subwoofers that supplies the deep bass and loudness you want in a package that'll stand up to the toughest conditions.

Rugged 12" subwoofers

The 12" subs feature large, durable polypropylene cones for increased efficiency and less distortion. The subs' Spider Plateau Venting design keeps the voice coil cool to pump out the low end when the music goes deep. And with 500 watts of power handling per speaker, this 2-ohm enclosure handles up to 1000 watts RMS, more than enough to keep the party rolling down the road.

Rugged enclosure

To create an enclosure to match the subwoofers, MTX chose 5/8" medium-density fiberboard that stands up to life in your trunk. Its aircraft-grade black carpet covering protects the box and offers a neat appearance that blends in with most interiors, while the embroidered Terminator logo enhances the cabinet's cool factor. And to make things even better, you can have this combo of powerful sound and sturdy construction at a price that'll help keep your budget in check.

Excellent Product

Excellent sub! Took 3 days to break in, before the deep thunderous bass came in. Was mostly hard hitting at first. The speakers are two svc 4 ohms 500 watt rms ones. Box is well built, it fits perfectly and sounds awesome in my 2017 toyota highlander. Powered by the Pioneer GM-9705!

Pros: Perfect for 3 row SUV trunk, easy push pin connector, 2ohm ready, value exceeds price by far, sounds wayy too good to be this cheap, makes potential buyers think the specs are inaccurate.

Cons: Single compartment with one side port, so bass is come from one side only. Center port or dual side ports give more of a surround feel, esp in SUV or Hatchback. Took a few days to break in, was very loud at first but no deep bass, eventually that rumbling thunder i know MTX for started kicking in.

THIS! Not to take anything away from the 8" kicker comp sub in my rear deck which sounds very good when the amp that powers it is properly tuned. It can really move some air! But I wanted heavier bass which was a tall order for only 1 8" sub. I chose this over some other brands because of the box's dimensions, and that they are 2ohm. The amp that powers them is only 250w @ 2ohms but they hit hard!

Pros: Sounds good playing rock, rap, and reggae! The sound and build quality is very good! For the performance and value I cannot be happier!

Cons: Not 1!

I bought these dual 12" subs for the back of my 2001 Dodge Durango, and let me tell you, I will always love the mtx pound. When paired with the Kenwood 9106-D 1000 watt rms amp, they are matched perfectly and will rock every bone in your body. I used 4 gage wire and had a pretty easy time hooking the subs to the amp. Absolutely no complaints. Love the way these things sound, as well as their quality. I will always be an mtx costumer

Q
Can I get the dimensions of the box please?
[ Corbin  Mar 19, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
Sure. You'll also find them under the "Product Highlights" section on the enclosure's main webpage: 29-1/2"W x 14"H x 13-1/2"D1 x 11"D2 There are two depth measurements as the enclosure is slightly tapered so, it's deeper at the base than at the top.
