Our take on the XTC 4"x10" Speaker Baffles

Waterproof foam baffles from XTC fit behind speakers to keep them clean and dry. They compress easily to fit the installation, and form a mounting seal that can reduce panel vibration. Use these speaker baffles along with a Dynamat kit when you install your new speakers, and you'll enjoy improved sound and performance.

Use these speaker baffles along with a Dynamat kit when you install your new speakers, and you'll enjoy improved sound and performance.

These baffles will protect your speakers. In many applications we recommend that you cut a hole in the bottom of the baffle, or remove the entire bottom of the baffle, to maintain good bass response while still protecting your speaker from dirt and water damage. I can't 100% say one way or the other that these baffles will improve the sound of your speakers, but at the very least they will protect your speakers or neaten up the job is the speaker is visible from the trunk or hatch (like mine are). They are not that expensive, of good quality and Made in the USA, so you can't really go wrong. My only criticism is that they are tricky to install (basically have to install them on the speaker and then install the speaker) and do not have any instructions for cutting holes to improve sound (advised to do this by the Cruchfield rep).

Pros: Inexpensive Good looking Good quality Made in USA

Cons: Installation tips/instructions No straightforward way to attach to speaker
