Waterproof foam baffles from XTC fit behind speakers to keep them clean and dry. They compress easily to fit the installation, and form a mounting seal that can reduce panel vibration. Use these speaker baffles along with a Dynamat kit when you install your new speakers, and you'll enjoy improved sound and performance.

These baffles will protect your speakers. In many applications we recommend that you cut a hole in the bottom of the baffle, or remove the entire bottom of the baffle, to maintain good bass response while still protecting your speaker from dirt and water damage. Call one of our Advisors if you have questions — they'll be happy to share their expertise with you.

A
Speaker Baffles do 2 things: 1. reduce vibrations from the speaker flange to the car (metal on metal). 2. Improve bass and in my case I also cut out the very back of the baffle to reduce that speaker in a can sound by allowing the woofer air. Than I added insulation around the speaker till I got the sound just right, sort of creating a speaker box. I use these baffles every time I install speakers. [ Gene  Jan 02, 2016 ]

Help with protection, sound, vibration, and unlevel surface after extending the size of the 6x9 locations (old 6x9 locations were untrue sizing due to the way they snapped in from bottom of the deck)... Between the foam that comes with most speaker and these will help fix the unlevel locations. [ Joshua  Oct 30, 2018 ]
A
boomy bass in front doors, needed deadening for my kickers because I like complex midbass which sounds muddy and off-time if it reflects inside door panels. Looking forward to a sealed box for tight resonance and clean, fast, accurate bass response. [ Sterling  Oct 18, 2018 ]

A
To give a better seal to the woofer rather than filling the trunk with the bass. [ Jacob  Aug 07, 2018 ]
A
I chose these baffles because I expect them to somewhat protect the exposed portion of the 6x9s under the rear deck from accessing the trunk area, and maybe help direct/ limit sound waves leaving the rear of the woofer. Plus, provide a bit of cushion between the speaker frame and rear deck when installed. Who knows. They say I'm gonna have to hack em to smitherines anyway... if I read that right... [ Jacob  Jun 03, 2018 ]

These will help with the "door rattle" you often hear when cars drive around with the radio up loud. They also help you protect your speakers by covering them inside the door. I once had speakers go bad on me because the rainwater dripping down through the windowglass slot eventually caused the wiring to rust through. It won't happen with these on.
