I installed a device to get a line signal from the under seat woofer of my BMW G20, which has a speaker level signal of up to 35V. While the LC2i from AudioControl is the most commonly used device for this purpose, I opted for the smaller Wavtech because I didn't need AccuBass. Another option was the Link2, which doesn't have Bass boost dials. After installing the device, I realized that the link2 would suffice as I have a DSP that can EQ the signal. However, the linkDQ is smaller and offers more freedom than the link2. To improve the bass sound, I adjusted the internal jumper inside the case to make it compatible with the 35V speaker level signal from the BMW. I was impressed with my first time ordering from Crutchfield because of their fast shipping and secure packaging.

I purchased this item to replace another brand that didn't even last a day. Easy to install with several adjustments to match to your system. Small footprint big results with a durable case. Also added the remote which works great also.
Pros: Sturdy case, adjustable and easy to install.
Cons: None

Very nice

Another great product. Used to boost my low level differential signal feeding my stock Bose sub amp. I had ~9 volts coming out before clipping. I had to turn it down to feed my aftermarket amp. Very clean signal.

Works good but frequency only goes to 80. Would be better for 12" or up sub. Smaller subs sometimes want a little higher frequency.

Wvtech linkDQ

I originally had the AudioControl LC2i, but had inconsistent bass; sometimes it would hit hard other times not at all. My wiring was good (i tripled checked), EQ was flat on my headunit, gain dials set per owner's manual instructions, and AccuBass feature disabled (not applicable with my specific vehicle); perhaps I just had a defective unit because I know AudioControl is a really good and reputable brand. I ended up swapped it out for the Wavtech DQ and boom resolved the issue I was having with the LC2i. Bass is strong and consistent. I also like that it's much smaller and can even manually adjust certain frequencies to hit harder. When the radio is off the sub is dead quiet (no humming\buzzing of any kind). Just a note, it does accept the 40v power that my Factory System puts out, but you need to open up the metal casing and switch both jumpers from 20v to 40v (leave the Load jumper there) The one thing I hate is the positive and negative terminals being next to each other (the LC2i was also the same). While I did tug test on the wires to make sure it doesn't come out easily, I wish it was 16 gauge terminals like it is on the LC2i. The 18 gauge terminals on the Wavtech just doesn't feel as secure, however, just be sure you secure the device and the wires so that it doesn't move and you should be fine. Other than that, I would highly recommend this product if adding a subwoofer into a factory headunit without RCA input.
Pros: Compact in size and does what it is supposed to do.
Cons: 18 gauge terminal Positive and negative together

Bought this to replace my Audio Control LC2i since this is smaller and looks cooler, yes looks matter to me and I also was looking for this type of bass boost control where you can select 30hz narrow and boost it! I run an 8" Mojo in a sealed box and being able to boost the 30hz range allows for a huge improvement with respect to deep bass and extension. Love this thing! Install tip: Make sure the gain is turned down all the way before you turn on your system and dial it up as needed
Pros: Good price, bass boost, build quality.
Cons: None.

Does it's job.

Freaked me out at first. It let's the amp sit for for a good bit after turning car off. But sounds great and does its job well. Easy to hide and install. Much better than running a remote wire with a stock head unit.
