I bought this because a friend told me how good it was. At that time I was not really into the HI-FI world. but after a little bit of an investment, I was listening to details and nuances in music that I never heard or knew that were there and developed a whole new love for the music that I listen to. There are so many different ways to listen to music. At first I didn't realize the potential of this DAC, of any DAC, but I've become rather proud of my iFi and have let others listen to it. The people that have never heard this kinda of detail in music were flabbergasted and the old pros were amazed at what all this system does. I'm still learning about the different ways you can choose to hear the music with different frequencies applied. An amazing machine that lets you enjoy your music to a level you didn't think possible.

High quality sound coupled with great flexibility. Instruction booklet needs more clarity and streaming ap should be improved.

Works as expected sound is very good. I let it play random songs using Jriver media center for three to four hours a day using the tube power supply for about ten days before doing any critical listening. The sound was very nice and balanced the sound stage was very wide a bit forward but depth was good overall it had very natural sound much more analog than my previous DAC. I still have some upgrades to do. I used my HTPC USB 3.0 with Anthem AVM 70, MCA 525 v2 into a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 803 D2's (waiting for my D4 upgrades to be delivered) and DB3D subwoofer. I'm looking forward to the power supply and reclocer upgrades. There so many combinations between the filters and power that it may take me awhile to find my favorite combination.
