About the Crux CS-AXMB1 Auxiliary Input Adapter for Mercedes-Benz

Bring aftermarket features to your factory radio

Crux's CS-AXMB1 auxilary input adapter expands the functionality of your factory system without replacing the radio. Simply plug this module into your vehicle's OBD-II port, and you'll be able to access an auxiliary audio input as a source through the factory touchscreen radio. Nothing else will change about your radio's functionality besides being able to use the aux input as a source, so you can keep enjoying the other radio features you're used to without worry.

Add an MP3 player, DVD player, or other audio source

Some folks love to stream tunes via Bluetooth® from their devices, but there's something about a direct connection that makes listening even more satisfying. If your phone or device has spotty Bluetooth performance, or if you really want to hook up that old portable disc player, you can now enjoy a wired connection to your factory Mercedes-Benz radio by activating the aux input with the CS-AXMB1.

Crux includes an auxiliary audio input cable, which should be connected into the female Quadlock connector of the vehicle harness on the back of the factory radio.

Convenient update

There's no need to flash the CS-AXMB1 or anything like that before you can plug it in to your vehicle's OBD-II port. Just power the car on without turning over the engine, plug the module into the OBD-II port, wait for the factory radio to reboot, then remove the module once the radio's done rebooting. You should see the auxiliary input as an available source on the stereo's display. The changes aren't permanent, so you can always go through the same steps and remove the auxiliary input as a possible source down the road.

Note: This adapter works with a number of Mercedes-Benz factory stereos, including the "COMAND-APS" NTG4.5 models and "Audio 20" NTG4 and NTG4.5 models. Please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this interface is compatible with your vehicle.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Crux AUX-MB1 Auxiliary Interface lets you add an auxiliary audio input to select 2011-2015 Mercedes-Benz factory sound systems (Command NTG4.5 & Audio20NTG4/NTG4.5 with 4-pin LVDS). The included coder module gets temporarily plugged into the vehicle's OBD port activating the factory Auxiliary Input feature. A 25" cable, with stereo RCA jacks on one end and Molex pin-connectors on the other end, is provided with the pin-connectors getting inserted into the factory radio harness. After the coder module "flashes" the factory system, the Auxiliary Input feature will show up as an available source on the factory radio.
