Keep those factory options
Crux's SWRMB-57M interface ensures that you can keep the factory steering wheel controls in your Mercedes-Benz when installing a compatible aftermarket radio. Connect this interface to the wires on your new stereo's wiring harness, and you've covered the power, ground, and factory speaker connections for your new stereo. More details on the Crux SWRMB-57M Wiring Interface
Mercedes-Benz Radio Replacement Interface: The CRUX SWRMB-57M is a radio replacement interface for select Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It facilitates the integration of an aftermarket radio and enables retention of factory features when replacing a factory installed radio. This interface is also pre-programmed for retention of steering wheel controls.
Vehicle Compatibility: The CRUX SWRMB-57M is compatible with the following Mercedes-Benz vehicles without a factory amplifier (not compatible with factory amplified systems).
|SLK Class (R171)||2005-2008|
Note: This interface does not retain the factory Bluetooth or Sirius Satellite Radio.
Steering Wheel Control Retention: The CRUX SWRMB-57M also features a steering wheel control output for Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, JVC, and Blaupunkt aftermarket head units. The steering wheel control output consists of a right-angle 3.5mm connector and a light blue/yellow wire (use the connection that your aftermarket head unit is fitted with). The SWRBM-57 interface module will work with any of the listed aftermarket head units, by setting its three dip-switches (see owner's manual for appropriate setting).
Note: There are two steering wheel control harnesses provided. One is labeled for Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, and JVC. The other is labeled for Pioneer & Sony. You will only use one of these harnesses based on your type of radio.
Navigation Outputs: The CRUX SWRMB-57M radio replacement interface module provides a VSS (vehicle speed sense) and a Reverse Gear output to make installing an aftermarket Navigation radio simpler and less time consuming.
