Great Turntable

I had an old Denon turntable that I wanted to upgrade. Read many reviews and Pro-Ject consistently was at the top. I changed the felt mat out for cork. I was a bit unsure on the balancing the tonearm, however Crutchfield customer service is great. I'm very happy with this turntable. Looks beautiful and sounds fantastic.

Great sound for the money

I like the simplicity of the unit and the focus on providing great sound at a reasonable cost. The acrylic cover feels cheap but the rest of the build feels like a quality product. Our placement runs against typical advice for a turntable (sitting on the same surface as the R-15PM bookshelf speakers we paired it with) but the system sounds great. No issues with vibration even when someone walks past the unit and we're happy with the purchase.

No frills performance

This thing is built like a tank. My prior Technics would transmit footsteps when I walked past. Not this one. I'm not going to test it, but I almost think I could jump and minimal vibration would occur. Simple construction/design all to do one thing effectively which it does: reproduce a clean audio signal from an LP with negligible external interference. Sounds great, highly recommend.

The first one they sent had some issue. Not sure what but it was distorted. Crutchfield sent me an advance replacement immediately and all is great! I'm really liking this turn table. Simple to set up and looks and sounds great! I highly recommend this product and kudos to Crutchfield and their support staff. Super friendly very responsive and their first recommendation when I had issues was send me another one right away.

First upgrade to my Sony turntable purchased in 1983. Craftsmanship and sound are exceptional. Setup from the well packaged box was straightforward, even the arm balance adjustment. My classical, jazz and rock record collection is a new joy to listen to.

What an upgrade. I purchased the Andover Spin System, including the original SpinDeck. I won't dwell on the SpinDeck's shortcomings, but suffice it to say that it left me wanting more. I loved the concept and the look, and am aware that Pro-Ject builds the SpinDeck. So after much research, I decided to try the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO, and I'm glad I did. The upgrade is incredible, part as a result of the table, and clearly part a result from the Sumiko phono cartridge. EVERYTHING about the sound is better - better highs, lows, separation, spatiality, quietness. And I watched the Crutchfield setup video, and didn't even need to look at the instructions. Took me about 5 minutes to set it up and it works perfectly. Build quality is great. I'm a fan.
Pros: Quietness, smooth operation, solid build, looks good, easy to set up, amazing sound.
Cons: Felt mat is the only 'cheap' feeling item. I will upgrade it.

I'm a freshman when it comes to vinyl, my main collection is on cd format. When a buddy of mine said, you'll hear something extra when played on vinyl, extra nuances that you didn't realize it was there. That statement is 100% true!!! Sound is so clear and definitely everything sounds better compared to CDs to a point. The sumiko needle is top notch! Customer service is phenomenal! Packaging of the turntable was excellent and ensured that it arrived without any damage. Item was delivered by projected delivery date. The turnable functions well, and I am totally pleased with the operation and the sound.
Pros: Well built and operates flawlessly . Fit and finish are excellent. Both manufacturer and Crutchfield packaging were excellent.
Cons: Set up instructions could/should provide more detail. Online set up videos from third parties were extremely beneficial for supplementing the manufacturer's instructions.

My first real "high end" turn table to go with a beautiful amp and speakers, and it does not disappoint! I have heard instrumentation that I have never heard before. The first thing that jumped out at me, was the serious clarity, zero rumble and ultra low distortions. I thought it Not being automatic in any way would be something to get used to, but that has not proven to be the case. Any drawback to being totally manual is completely erased by the audio quality. The Sumiko rainier is beautiful as well. Don't believe those YouTube videos and you absolutely do not need a turntable preamp if you have an amplifier with a dedicated phono input on it already, which is another misleading "fact" on YouTube. I personally think the turntable shines best on the jazz records where clarity and separation is a real benefit , Labels like ECM that use a lot of air space in their recordings super shine, Metallica albums, less so for sure :-). Assembly was super easy and mostly put it together without the instruction sheet. Tonearm counterweight kept wanting to click back into start position as I rotated the weight towards the. 1.5-2 g area, not sure why, but eventually it behaved correctly. I'm not sure that I will need another new turntable in maybe forever!

Cons: Something was definitely weird about the Way the counter balance weight seemed to notch itself back to the zero setting every time I try to dial it up towards the 2 g area. Worked around it and everything seems to be fine but if I started back at 0 g again, I am sure it would still have this weird funky "click" about it as it seem to resist, wanting to be moved forward in weight

Crutchfield got my order out quickly and was well packaged. The turntable is everything I was hoping for, well made and sounds amazing! Setup was a breeze. The tone arm balancing was somewhat difficult in that the arm seemed somewhat stiff, so finding the balance took a little time, but was close once I checked with my scale. An inexperienced person may have trouble. The feet are great and seem to isolate pretty well. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Replaced a 40 year old turntable with the EVO and have rediscovered my vinyl collection. Love the sound of this unit, absolutely incredible and I haven't even gotten the cartridge upgrade from the promo yet. A couple negative comments. The on/off/speed selector switch is on the bottom of the base and you can't see it and there is no indication of speed selected. The room I have this unit in is dark and can't tell if the platter is turning unless there is an album on it. I actually came back the next day and the unit was still on ??. The other negative is the protrusion on the tone arm to lift it is too small and very slippery. This in conjunction with the fact that the is tone arm is so light I can barely tell when I lift it with my finger making it hard to move the tone arm by hand. I'm sure I will get use to these minor issues and continue to love this machine.

Really nice table. Haven't owned one for over 15 years. Seems to have everything I need. Setup of the tracking force was straight forward. Getting the upgraded Olympia cartridge from Sumiko was a nice perk for registering. Would have went 5 stars but the anti-skate setup seems chintzy.

Great turntable. I had been using a Rega Planar 2 table which is a really nice table but I wanted something more compact, which the Pro Ject is, because of space restrictions. But the Pro Ject with the Ranier cartridge sounds better, too.
Pros: Compact size, Ranier cartridge is a winner.
Cons: Funky little weight attached to very slim filament is old school, but hey, it works. Just don't drop it on an Oriental rug!

Sounds great. Really nice finish. The cables they provide look premium. I went with yellow and it was more tasteful than expected. The yellow has a quirky vibe like Joey and yet is fun and cool like Jesse (full house reference). It took me a couple times to set it up correctly. I had to watch a video to do it right. But that was more my fault I think.

Amazong sound, but preamp first

The best-sounding turntable I have ever owned. The simple design is very pleasing to the eyes and the build quality is amazing. Don't make the same mistake I made. I bought it to connect to the Sonos Five. I had the Five already and I went ahead and ordered this Debut Carbon EVO. I could not wait to get it in my hands and when It arrived I immediately and desperately set it up. Guess what, no sound at all came out of the Five speakers. I then realized that the Carbon Evo does not have a pre-amp. So I had to order a pre-amp and wait for that to arrive how annoying. now with the new pre-amp attached it is amazing. Connected to the Sonos Five now I can broadcast the turntable sound throughout the home even outside to the pool area. All is good. by the way, I bought the Pro-Ject Phono Box MM DC Phonograph Preamplifier for $89.00. Lastly, tread your stylus gently the replacement is $150.

I like this turntable very much. It is easy to set up and the fit and finish is very good. It suits my needs very well. The only thing I would wish for is for Crutchfield to offer an upgrade on the cartridge that comes with these turntables. I would pay a bit more if an upgrade to the cartridge was offered but still at a small discount from full retail. The standard cartridge is OK but is a bit sloppy in the low and high ranges.

Best table at its price and beyond

I have been using a Rega P2 upgraded with a Olympia cart sounded really good but recently having some issues decided to get a evo already had the Olympia stylus also had a ground it E bought a hi power it and acrylic it. Love the turntable easy to set up sounds amazing spacious detailed sound with warmth like the tone arm better than the rega and really enjoy the speed change Build quality is better than rega imo like the parts Project chose the tone arm wiring top notch love the adjustable feet detachable cables love the turntable Plan to upgrade sub platter when they are available easily competes with Rega P3 when upgraded

Complex to set up but worth it

I haven't owned a turntable since the 1980s, so I was a bit caught off guard how tricky it was to set up this turntable. Good thing I didn't get an even higher end one that requires even more handholding. It's fine as long as you watch a YouTube video first, as the included directions are not great. Installing the belt is easy (use the right one), but balancing the arm and adjusting the weight was confusing until I watched a video. There is quite a bit of static resulting in crackling, and others say this may be due to the felt pad. I ordered an anti-static brush but have not yet tried this out to see if it helps. I love that the RCA cables are included, but do notice they go in a specific direction! I originally connected mine backwards, which works but isn't optimal. I love the satin blue. It is easy to change speeds between 33 and 45 (you need 45 for Taylor Swift Red), but 78 requires changing to a different belt. I would buy this model all over again. Just plan on some time to get it up and running!

Cons: Set up directions are not great, plan to find and watch a YouTube video on how to set it up. Requires changing the belt to listen to 78, but easy to change between 33 and 45. No connection options other than RCA (e.g., no USB), which is fine for a properly matched amp.

This is such a depressing product. It sounds about as good as my brothers Audio-Technica LP120, which costs $250 dollars less and has a built in preamp so you don't have to waste another $100 and hours of time on Pro-Jects equally stupid Phono Box. The incompetence of the anti-skate mechanism is beyond belief. The universal love for the crap that Pro-Ject cranks out is so dishonest that I've tossed my entire vinyl collection, the digital crowd isn't nearly as phony.

Concerns about longevity

Looks great, sounds great, but I do worry about the longevity. First shipment the tone arm lift was cracked and seems like it wouldn't take much for it to happen. Then the last step of setting up involves this weight hanging from a plastic wire. If that were to ever break or get lost in the future which seems inevitable, how certain can I be I'll be able to replace it.

1 star for the turntable, 5 stars as always for Crutchfield. Received this turntable and set it up and the anti-skate weight would just pull the tonearm all the way out to the tonearm rest as soon as I let it go. I have an X2 which uses the same anti-skate so I do know how to set it up and it's always been perfect. I contacted Crutchfield and they immediately sent a replacement as they always do. That one had the same issue so I returned both. Can't recommend the turntable but I will always recommend Crutchfield.

This turntable produces warm, nuanced music - 5 stars. I take one star off because the instructions for setting up the turntable are too vague. I could not get the tone arm balanced properly following them. After a couple of fruitless attempts, I bought a digital stylus gauge. I took me less than 5 minutes to balance the cartridge at the recommended 2.0 g. Bingo.
Pros: Gorgeous music.
Cons: Need to use a stylus pressure gauge in setting up the turntable. Buy one if necessary.

This is the first turntable that I've ever purchased and I have to say that I am very happy with it. Set up was a breeze thanks to the Crutchfield video (instructions were a little lacking) and I like how thos is something that you can upgrade over time. Running this through an NAD C399 and Wharfedale Evo 4.4s and have officially caught the vinyl bug. Looking forward to many hours of listening!

I love this turntable. It was very easy to set up, with clear instructions and a clear video from Crutchfield for balancing the tone are. It's esthetically pleasing, and the sound is marvelous. I have it connected to a Sonos system (so, we're not talking audiophile, but good sound). The sound from my ancient LPs from the 70s and 80s is rich and full. I now understand what the fuss about analogue vs. digital is all about. I'm very happy with the purchase, and staff at Crutchfield were very helpful advising me in the process.

I decided to buy the Carbon EVO over Fluance and Rega P1. I replaced an older pioneer. Also, I wanted my turntable to make a visual statement. Even with the stock cartridge, the sound quality better with a noticeable level of detail in the midrange especially.

There are no bells and whistles on this turntable. I will say though that Pro-Ject put their money where it counts. Set up is simple enough and may be a little tedious for some but boy does it sound great.

I love music. I enjoy listening to it in all formats. I even have a working cassette player and a collection of cassettes dating back to the 80's. I bought this to upgrade from a surprisingly good sounding suitcase player I have had for a few years that is getting tired and having some motor issues. After a lot of research I pulled the trigger on this Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo in the Satin Green. Aesthetically it is simple and satisfying. The green fits well with the dark gray stain and matte black furnishings it lives on. The dust cover fits well and can be closed while playing a record with no contact at all. The carbon tone arm just looks very cool as well as audio functionality. Set up was quite easy. Leveling the table was easy but you will need a small level to do so. Balancing the arm was simple and I had no issues attaching the anti-skate weight nor has it fallen off as other reviewers have mentioned as an issue. Now to the important part. How does it sound? I'm not going to claim to be an expert in frequency and transfer but I do know what sounds good to me. I wanted to get a feel for its range so first album I played is Zebra - Zebra, I figured the song 'Tell Me What You Want' would give me a good idea what this "entry level" player with the Rainer stylus could do. I am impressed. It has handled everything I have thrown out it so far with equal audio quality. I am running this through the Phono on my Kanto YU-6 powered speakers with a Kanto SUB-8. Gr

Cons: The reason for only four stars is that the included felt mat does seem to create/generate a lot of static. This will be my first upgrade. Also the instructions are not clear on attaching the included (high quality) RCA cable. The plugs marked with the yellow collars need to be connected to phono receiver end.

I had the previous Debut Carbon model, which is great, but as I have an extensive collection of 45s, I grew tired of removing the platter to change the groove of the belt every time I played one. I'd been eyeing this model with the external 33-45 switch since it's release and finally pulled the trigger. Bonus: The Sumiko Ranier cartridge is an upgrade from the Ortofon that came with the earlier model.

I purchased the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO "vinyl reader." I wanted something that was both good enough to keep but also not so good that if I abandon vinyl again I wouldn't regret the purchase. The look is very clean, form following function. It was packaged very well without being wasteful or frustrating. Instructions were good not great but there are many YouTube videos to help with fine tuning the weight of the arm. It is very thoughtfully designed. The sound is very good, could be the LPs of today have not suffered the abuse of my youth. Just wish I would have done this sooner or never left vinyl.
Pros: Sound quality, price point, & design.

Decent budget "audiophile" turntable.

Sounds decent after some slight tweaking of cartridge, heard a little surface noise on initial setup. To be fair I'm running highly efficient so that's easy for me to pick up siring quiet passages. Another issue was the the dust cover was contacting the the anti-skate weight holder, thought the cover hinges squeaking but it was the thin wire scraping the plastic dust cover. The table is lighter than I thought it would be, but not really surprised at this price point. Got it in satin black to match my other components. I also have a Pro-ject RPM-1 that I really like and an older Audio-Technica AT-LP120-usb too that I like. Does this sound better or worse than the other two tables? After I tweaked the cart not really. The other two have upgraded cartridges. The included Rainer Cartridge sounds decent. I do like the anti-skate adjustment on the AT and RPM-1 just have to turn a knob, the debut uses a weight on some monofilament line like some of the turntables I grew up with. In the end I'm happy with the purchase. I received a new factory sealed turntable not some opened box return that was used/damaged from a lessor dealer selling it's wares on Amazon. Cant recommend Crutchfield enough! When you buy new from them you get new!!!

Cons: Not a huge fan of the anti-skate but it works. Cart did need slight adjustment out of box, be careful of the anti-skate wire holder scratching the dust cover, easily bent to clear dust cover.

Greetings All, Will qualify this review by stating it's been many years since I bought my last turntable; a Dual 604 Direct Drive unit with a top of the line Grado cartridge. My new turntable sounds every bit as good as my old one, is very stylish and has zero rumble despite being located in a shelf unit adjacent to my Bose 901 speakers. Comparably speaking the Pro-ject is an excellent value given today's offerings. The Cons are lack of automation - you need to turn on the turntable on via a toggle switch rather than by releasing the tone arm, and the biggest Con is that the tonearm doesn't return to the cradle when it's done tracking the album. Overall, I'd purchase this turntable again as I'm not going to spend over $1,000 to occasionally play my Half Speed Masters...... JC

Played it hard for a week. Love it. Couple matters: 1. Bought off the scratch and dent list. Had been opened; small scratch on the dust cover. Worth the 10 percent-ish off. 2. Was a little tricky to set up using the instructions. Went back and watched the Crutchfield endorsement video that had a section on setup...bingo. 3. Super light tone arm, plays my records (not used for 30 years mostly, still in pretty good shape) very well, sounds awesome with my Yamaha 760/KEF 50 speakers.

Made me fall in love with playing my LPs all over again! I upgraded from an Audio-Technica LP-60X. My previous turntable felt like a toy, and the Pro-Ject feels like a proper piece of audio equipment. Love the color and design, and cueing up records is a breeze. The adjustable tracking force and anti-skate make a big difference, helping play records which used to skip on my old turntable. Everything also sounds a lot quieter, with less static in the background. I do often have to crank up my volume to hear certain records. Setting up the tonearm and anti-skate weight was also a little finicky. I wish the weight was a little more secure, as I feel like it could easily get knocked off by accident. Now that it's all setup I've had no issues with record playback.

It's very clear sounding and highly recommended. Two points for the OEM to improve have been mentioned, and if they were remedied would give it five stars - and warrant repeating - the anti-skate weight does fall off easily, so gentle slow movements of the tonearm are required. A modified loop knot should be in order! The dust cover needs silicone pads in the front corners instead of the hard plastic nibs. Those nibs will ruin the nice plinth finish if dropped too hard too many times. It's a great turntable otherwise!

5 stars relative to its price and my lack of experience. Though a 30 year self described audiophile I never messed with Vinyl until now. As a noob there was a bit of a learning curve regarding the setup. I'm guessing with this level of Turntable the instructions assume you have moderate knowledge, which I didn't and used YouTube to correct. I have found the sound to be excellent most notably by how different each record sounds I assume based on how it was recorded. I've made it though about 20 various albums mostly new, a few old, and I am quite impressed. Initially It was lacking bass but I bought a needle scale and ended up increasing the weight slightly above the recommended starting point and it came right in. For reference I'm running it through a Rotel RC-1572 pre-amp, Anthem MCA 255 Gen 2 Amplifier & Dahlquist DQ30i speakers I've has since 1991.
Pros: Simple, clean, sounds great.
Cons: Very minor but If you are new to Vinyl watch some setup videos first.

Meets my expectations for speed accuracy for this I will give it 5 stars. I asked Dante if this item has a plug-in headshell to which he answered that the cartridge is pre-installed. At my request and because I understood his answer to be "yes" I ordered an extra headshell. He sent me a headshell that was not compatible with the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO and it had a pre-installed cartridge. So, I was able to take out the pre-installed cartridge from the ProJect DC EVO and install a 78 compatible one (Ortofon) to digitize all my 78's. When that is done I will reinstall the cartridge that came with the ProJect DC EVO and give a review of that.
Pros: Speed is right on the money

Time to replace my 16 year old Pro-Ject turntable. Much better sound with the new Evo. Had a problem setting up the tone arm. That was my fault with the counterweight. I had it pushed up too forward on the tone arm. Follow the instructions and its fine. Very happy with the sound. Tech people are the best at Crutchfield.

I returned it. The anti-skate weight falls off every time you return the tone arm to the rest, or if you even look at. Extremely annoying. I called the Pro-ject customer service line and they told me to reposition the rest at an angle. I did that and then the string on the weight was too short for the tonearm to complete it's cycle. And of course, the weight still fell off. Horrible design.

Excellent quality product, great hardware and aesthetic and easy assembly. Setup instructions were clear, all I had to do was figure out which belt to use and which speed to play our records on, that was all on me (I'm a vinyl newbie). Balancing the tone arm takes the most effort but once it's done properly it works great; place it over the record, flip the lever and it makes a slow, graceful descent into the track. We paired it with an Andover Spinbase sound system, so it's a compact setup that easily fits on an end table. The one single complaint is that there was a tiny chip in the satin blue finish after unpacking, but it's on the back corner where it's not immediately noticeable and I didn't think it justified a replacement.

This has been a fantastic turntable so far! Crutchfield did a fantastic job of packing and shipping this turntable to me. Setup of this table was a breeze. It sounded great out of the box with the supplied platter and cartridge, but I did choose to upgrade to a better cartridge and the Pro-Ject Acryl-it platter. The overall fit and finish of this turntable is outstanding and that tonearm is a thing of beauty. The grounded RCA cable that came with it is quality cable, my only real gripe would be the power supply and cable included with this turntable, it's too short to be useful unless your turntable is directly next to an outlet. The power cable is the only reason I'm not leaving a five star rating on this turntable. However I wouldn't let the power cord issue deter you from buying this turntable, for the money I think that you would be hard pressed to find a better turntable anywhere.

I absolutely recommend this turntable to anyone getting into the hobby. This is the first player I've personally owned so my review may not be terribly useful to most. I do have friends who have long collected vinyl and like to restore high end vintage equipment, and they are very complimentary of this unit after hearing it. While I'm only just getting into the hobby, I know this was an excellent decision. The setup was stupidly simple and I was up and playing in under 30 min. The provided cables seem to be just fine in terms of quality. The switch feels solid, which I love. I expected the thing to weigh more but I don't know why (it's not made of lead). If you are ham-handed with it, it will move around. Also I wish the provided power supply had a longer cable. My setup is very basic. I have an Onkyo A-9010 filling duties as Pre-amp and Amp. The speakers are 20 year old Infinity RS3's, which I realize are my current weak point but still sound just dandy for what they are. I'll be building a set of Zaph designed speakers in the near future. I will also be investigating a higher quality pre-amp. I look forward to diving into the hobby, growing my record collection, and just enjoying my favorite music.

Spend the bucks, its worth it

This was my first turn table and I wasn't sure which one to buy, do I spend $150 or $3000? I used the high recommendation from Crutchfield on this model to make my decision and I am not at all disappointed! Great turn table for the money.. I have a large, multi speaker home theater room and this hooked right up to it all with no problems.. I am a metal- head and like my music loud, this turn table delivers!

Need to fix cheesy anti-skate weight

After extensive research and I've come to the conclusion that the Pro-ject Debut Carbon EVO is the best turntable in this price range right now. The only issue is the Anti-skate weight that connects to a post on the tonearm. it keeps coming off. I can't see why Pro-ject cant fix such a simple issue as a small weight connected to a piece of fish line the prevents the tonearm from skating

Bought this ProJect EVO to upgrade from a Lower end Music Hall that my daughter is taking. Love the simplicity of this unit and it sounds GREAT! Set up was simple after watching a Crutchfield video that walked through all of set up. Running it through an Onkyo receiver and 8 Polk speakers. Pretty sure the neighbors can hear and feel it when it gets turned up. As always, Crutchfield service was great.
Pros: Very clean lines. Sound is as advertised! Came with all the wiring necessary.
Cons: Some would say no auto return but I knew that going in. No regrets.

After researching turntables for about 3-4 weeks, we finally decided on a Pro-ject. I feel that my money was well spent for a entry level turn table. Very simple design, nothing extra, just great engineering and great sound. No regrets. Great service and tracking updates from Crutchfield.

For the money, amazing. Could it be better? Sure. But I have other things that my money would serve better. But when I'm ready, this table gives me plenty of room to grow without having to start over. As it sets, it brings life to my system I was unaware of. Great attack on guitar tracks, huge power for bass and percussion, amazing clarity on vocals. I am listening to my entire collection with new ears.

Set up was pretty simple, especially since the cartridge was pre-mounted. A definite improvement over the entry level Audio Technica unit which it replaced. I purchase from Crutchfield primarily for the available tech support and their return policy.
Pros: Ease of setup, quality components.
Cons: It is a manual turntable, but I knew that when I ordered it.

Great Table and Cartridge for the Price

Purchased the Debut Carbon EVO along with a Parasound Zphono USB preamp for our Sonos system (connected via a Connect). Overall a great match! Initially purchased the Pro-Ject T1 with built in pre-amp with poor results (the sound was flat and the preamp output was too low). I'd say the Debut Carbon EVO has earned it's great reviews.

The step up is better than expected

This is the first "better" turntable I have ever purchased. I was a little tedious to set up. But not overly so. I have the old Teac set up and AB'd between that and this Pro-ject. The difference is tremendous. With everything else Identical the soundstage is bigger. Details clearer. I would recommend as a first better turntable most highly

This turntable is excellent quality at a moderate price. I am really enjoying the lower recording levels of vinyl. I feel like I can listen to records all day with the Project Carbon EVO. The best part is that if I am looking for an upgrade to the sound I have a number of options on higher end cartridges. If you are looking for great quality at an entry level price, you will have trouble finding anything better than the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO. The setup is straightforward as well. Great record spinner!

Great sounding turntable and a definite upgrade from my previous Carbon DC which this EVO replaced . The Rainier cartridge is very accurate and detailed. I am using the acrylic platter option which I upgraded on my Carbon DC. The standard platter supplied on the new EVO is heavier and more dampened than the platter supplied on the DC version . Easy to set up and install

Impressive Table For The Money

I'm very impressed with the sound of this turntable for the price-point. I'm coming from a vintage table so the super-light tonearm is taking some getting used to. The included Rainer cartridge is pretty detailed for the price. It sounded a little flat to start but seems to be opening up more after some hours of play. Most of all I'm impressed with the quality, fit and finish of the Pro-Ject tables. And I'm still looking for the scratch & dent on my scratch & dent! Haven't been able to find it yet!

Great sound and overall a great product. The aesthetic of this turntable is beautiful. Sound is crisp and clear. Keep in mind when purchasing that this turntable does not have speakers or a phono preamp. If you are not hooking into a receiver/speaker system then you will definitely need these items separately.
