More details on the Aquatic AV GC110
Multi-Environment Protection: The Aquatic AV MP6 offers multi-environment protection for reliable performance in the toughest environmental conditions. It is waterproof (IP65 rated), UV protected (ASTM D4329 compliant), and salt-fog resistant (ASTM B117 compliant). Its front-panel is made of ABS, while the chassis is ZAM coated and the PCB is conformal coated. A rubber cover is provided to protect the front-panel when not in use.
Note: Aquatic AV products are built to be reliable and durable. The MP6 comes with a two year warranty.
Mounting Options: The Aquatic AV MP6 marine stereo will require a rectangular cutout in your dash or other flat mounting surface. It mounts in the rectangular opening using the included mounting sleeve and brackets. It secures to the front of mounting surface using the included screws.
- Cutout Dimensions: 7.195" (w) x 2.065" (h) x 4.255" (d)
- Front-Panel Dimenions: 8.295" (w) x 2.585" (h) x 1.505" (d)
- Screw-Hole Spacing (4): 7.695" (w) x 1.405" (h) x 1.755"
Note: The MP6 marine stereo does not support standard single-DIN installation in vehicle applications, because the front-panel is very large and its integrated trim-ring is not removable.
3" LCD: The front-panel 3" LCD screen lets you view song/artist/album information (not album art) from a Bluetooth or USB source device, as well as AM/FM station numbers, source inputs, volume level, and menu selections. The LCD screen will also display the time. In addition, you can adjust the display brightness from 100% for normal operation to 30% brightness to reduce screen glare during night time operation.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The MP6 features built-in Bluetooth 2.1 for wireless audio playback (A2DP) and control (AVRCP) of your Bluetooth-enabled source device, such as your smartphone or tablet. You can pair up to two Bluetooth source devices to the unit, but only one can be connected and used for playback at a time. You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth source device to the Aquatic AV receiver. You'll also be able to control Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Rewind, Previous/Next Track, and Volume Up/Down from the receiver's front-panel. The unit will even display song/artist/album information (no album art).
Note: The MP6 does not support Bluetooth hands-free communication (HFP) for making and answering phone calls.
USB Port: The Aquatic AV MP6 is equipped with a rear-panel USB port which consists of a female USB (type-A) port attached to rear-chassis via a 6" cable. The USB port supports connection of a USB MSC (mass storage class) device for playback of MP3 and WMA music files. You can control playback and view song/artist information (no album art) from the MP6's front-panel. The unit's USB port will also charge a smartphone, tablet, or other small electronic device via USB (5V/2.1A). To make connection of your USB device easier, Aquatic AV has included a 4' panel-mount USB extension cable that plugs into rear-panel USB port and then mounts in the dash. The USB panel-mount extension requires a round cutout that measures 0.75"(diameter) x 1.5" (depth).
Note: The USB port does not support playback of Apple iOS devices, Android OS device, USB hubs, or USB card-readers.
Aux Input: The MP6 marine digital media receiver is outfitted with a rear-panel Aux input which consists of a set of female stereo RCA jacks that are attached to the rear chassis via 6" cables. The Aux input allows for connection and playback of an external audio source.
AM/FM Tuner: The Aquatic AV MP6 is equipped with a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 18 FM presets and 12 AM presets for a total of 30 tuner presets. You can select between US or European tuning. The MP6 is equipped with a standard motorola plug to connect the included 4' dipole antenna.
4ch Amp + 2Ch Preouts: The Aquatic AV MP6 features an onboard 4ch Class A/B amplifier that is 2-ohm stable and capable of powering up to 8 speakers, or a combination of speakers and subwoofers. The MP6 is also outfitted with a 2V/2Ch RCA output for the connection of an external amplifier to power additional speakers and subwoofers.
- 4-Ohm Rating: 24 watts (RMS) x 4ch / 45 watts (Peak) x 4ch
- 2-Ohm Rating: 35 watts (RMS) x 4ch / 72 watts (Peak) x 4ch
DSP EQ: The MP6 stereo is equipped with an audio DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to provide EQ Presets, manual Bass & Treble, and a Loudness function. You can select between 5 EQ Presets (Flat, Rock, Classic, Pop, or Off). The Off Preset allows you to manually adjust Bass & Treble. The Loudness function increases the sound output level by 15dB at low volume levels.
Programmable Turn-On Volume: You can set the maximum volume the stereo will be set when powering the unit on. If the stereo is switched off with a lower volume than the P-Vol setting then the lower volume setting will be used. Normal volume control and operation is resumed once the Rotary Selector is turned after switching the stereo on.
Waterproof Coaxial Speakers: The included AQ-SPK6.5-4L waterproof coaxial speakers features a 5/8" neodymium tweeter with ferrite magnet and a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer with durable rubber surround. The speakers have a frequency response of 52-20,000Hz and can handle up to 50 watts (RMS) / 100 watts (Peak) of power. They are 4-ohm rated. There are blue LEDs behind the tweeter casing, to create a glow on the woofer cone. A 12-volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on. Speaker wire and mounting hardware are included.
- Cutout Dimensions: 2.775" (diameter) x 0.574" (depth)
- Frame Dimensions: 6.615" (diameter) x 0.3975" (height)
- Grille Dimensions: 6.9" (diameter) x 0.925" (height)
Note: Aquatic AV uses industry standard tests (ASTM B117 salt/fog and ASTM D4329 sunlight, moisture, and heat) to ensure the speakers will provide optimum performance in the difficult marine environment.
12V/3A Triggers: The MP6 stereo has two independent 12V/3A "accessory" trigger wires (brown).. These trigger wires can be used to activate almost any 12V based device, such as 12V lights or 12V motors. The 12V triggers can be activated and deactivated from the head unit's front-panel.
Optional Remote Control: You can connect a wireless and/or wired remote control to the Aquatic AV MP6 for an easier listening experience with the ability to control playback functions and view track info on the remote display.
- RF Remote: The MP6 supports Aquatic AV's AQ-RF-6UBT wireless remote control (sold separately). The remote is RF, battery operated, waterproof, floats, and has a wireless range of over 40'.
- Wired Remote: The WR6 wired remote control from Aquatic AV (sold separately) can be plugged into the proprietary wired remote input on back of the MP6 marine stereo.
Beep Tone: A beep tone is heard when any button is pressed on the marine stereo; this feature can be turned on or off.
