The instructions are very clear and to the point. The photographs make it extremely simple. I'm a guy that needs actual pictures to do things and the pics, not drawings, made it perfect. I learned so much more than using the internet. This was a great little investment for my different vehicle. I have always enjoyed the catalog magazines since I was a kid. Now that I'm an adult with the ability to do and get what I want good old reliable Crutchfield came through.

Ram 1500: does give basic radio removal and install instruction. Does not give enough info on how to cut out the steel support frame for the rear of the factory radio. Does not give instruction on wiring for install. A good starting point, but you need to watch You-tube videos.

First of all if you own a 2017 Lexus GS 350 F Sport and you want to know how to change out your speakers this is a must have. I recently went to a few car audio shops and when they look up my car it says I can't change out the stock radio /monitor and speakers. That being said they don't want to fool with my lexus. I bought this so I can do it myself.

Waste of $. Doesn't tell you anything important as far as installing a complete audio system. Basic information provided such as, how to remove the front and rear speakers and head unit as well as the color code for the speaker wires. How about including how to get through the firewall from the engine bay to the interior of the car for an amplifier and/or powered subwoofer? How to tap into the fuse box to get an accessory powered fuse for a dash cam or amplifier turn on? I was hoping for expert advise from someone that has actually worked on the car. I think most people with the car would be able to figure out how to remove the speakers by themselves. The head unit removal might be little more useful if you need to replace it.
Pros: If you only want to know how to remove your head unit and speakers and nothing more useful then this is for you.
Cons: No in depth information on the wiring of the vehicle, how to get constant power and accessory power for amplifiers, powered subwoofers, or dash cam installations. No info on how to deal with factory amplifiers and doesn't even cover all the speakers if you have the JBL audio system.

The MasterSheet for the 00-06 Toyota Tundra did not include how to install the tweeters in the door panel. It appear a cut out is needed to put the new tweeter in the door panel and the help line didn't have information on it either.

Overall it's a great tool and helps tremendously. My only issue is when you first sign up and pay for the instructions, you don't get the instructions right away. It took a day to receive them, which doesn't help you at the time when you needed it the most. Now after you have paid and got your first set of instructions, maybe the next time you need or order them, you can get it right away. I don't know, I haven't tried it yet.
Pros: Tells you exactly how to take anything off that needs to come off.
Cons: You don't get your first copy for almost 24hrs after paying.

2014 Chevrolet Equinox
This version of information and pictures are for the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox is for a "Base" model. For those of us that have the more luxurious model, the "LTZ", the Crutchfield support crew have it all wrong with this. They need to update the photos for the other models that have something entirely different. I am very disappointed. I followed Crutchfield since the mid 80's when I was stationed in California and participated in the car stereo competitions that they hosted and sponsored.
Pros: None at all. Nice attempt though, but no credit.
Cons: only provides information for a base model and does not reflect differences for the LTZ models

The guide is useful, but not great. The images are taken with an old camera at a low resolution, it looks like something from 15 years ago- It's impossible to see details on the disassembled doors, or other fine details. It would be nice to be able to view a large scale image to look at specific areas in the car. Also0- the contrast is poor so darker details are entirely hidden. Also, I entered my car's details and the instructions did not match my models' specifications. The pictures were for a premium audio package that only ~10% of my car model have installed. Finally, There is no mention of impedance or pin locations or anything like that to figure out what is needed to install an aftermarket amplifier within the existing system. These instructions would have been awesome if it did what was promised, but these instructions do not contain enough photo detail and were not comprehensive of standard factory audio packages.

Pretty disappointed in the amount of information given. Didn't say the sizes of my speakers, only had a few pictures, and had super basic instructions such as "remove the panel" and "secure speaker". I'd want to know where the plastic tabs on the trim are and how to safely disengage them so that we don't break them. I didn't need to be told to unscrew the screws obviously connected to the speaker. The things it says are easily found for free elsewhere

These cheat sheets are great. Idk any other dealers that share as much accurate research on this many makes and models. Alot of the stuff covered is stuff most veterans would know or be able to figure out anyways. But I like how it shows you in detail the best and least destructive way to disassemble trim panels to get at the speakers etc. Another helpful part of my particular file was how they had the wiring harness color codes which made my speaker level DSP tap in go that much smoother
Pros: Very useful information. Totally worth the $10. And even better that it's free when you buy almost anything specific to your vehicle

After watching the video of what a master sheet was, I had figured it would tell me all the specs of the radio and speakers like size of each speaker location. Overall, for the price, I was underwhelmed but this info does help in removing the factory radio but that's about it, no specs or sizes of good replacement speakers, maybe it's my own ignorance talking but I'd rather have spent twice the price and got a product and had the sheet included instead.
Pros: Does tell you how to remove your factory radio but that's out it.
Cons: Doesn't have as much Info as I would have liked

I received the Mastersheet in a timely manner. I purchased this product for my 2002 Lincoln LS V6 . It discussed the installation of a new radio, speakers in the front doors, and speakers in the rear doors. What made me disappointed is the fact that there was no mention of the two speakers in the front console. That was the major reason that I purchased the Mastersheet in the first place!

Do you guys not like 2000 Chevy Silverados? I received zero specific instructions for installing my aftermarket Boss stereo and integrated backup camera. How hard would it be to provide just a basic electrical schematic with the unit that also explains there are multiple ways to wire the backup camera? Without being aware of this fact trying to sort out the wiring is mind numbing. For a company that brags about "Specific Instructions" well, there weren't any. The poor customer service girl had to manually draw up diagrams and email them to me so I could sort out all the various options for wiring. Your"wiring guide"is not a schematic, and was basically useless. If I wasn't competent at wiring, having restored and installed numerous entire auto wiring harnesses, this would have been a disaster. You need to up your game and provide actual "specific Instructions" if you're going to make the claim. And FWIW, Boss was just as bad, with zero installation instructions. Theyfall back to "hire a professional", which is just being lazy and not acceptable.

2006 Subaru Baja
The speakers sound great mids are very good as well as bass using a Pioneer head unit. The only reason I am giving this a 4 is because tech support was good with the wire colors of my Subaru, the colors were hard to determine which was the positive lead. The kit was to include the specific instructions which were not sent to me and the harness plug did not match the factory plug so I had to splice it and the speaker hole was a bit too big because the factory utilizes a spacer. Crutchfield failed with that observation so if you buy for a 2006 Baja Subaru beware you may have to do what I did to make this work correctly and fit properly.
Pros: It was worth the hassle because it sounds awesome and the price is competitive with other retailers

I purchased the intructions separately to find out how to take apart my interior. It helped me decide what type of system to install in my car. It will also be handy for other car projects in the future. Just knowing how everything is removed and fits together will save me from the headaches of broken clips and panels.
Pros: Knowing exactly where clips are and how to remove panels. Handy for future interior projects. Wiring guide lays out the spaghetti of wires.

Picked up a new vehicle the other week; first year of its redesign. Several installers told me they had not worked on one and not one that I asked could find any information on how to do any kind of install work on it. Got home and searched on Crutchfield. within minutes I had step-by-step instructions on how to do almost all the work.

I have to echo the review down below. This is an incredibly underwhelming product, so much so that I assumed that the PDF document I received after purchase was just the highlights and that a more in-depth document would be shipped. Not so. The document you receive is incredibly basic and focuses only on removal, nothing about installation. It is apparently designed for someone with no access to the internet because a Google search of videos, YouTube and otherwise, will give you everything you need to know, in detail, about removal and installation in pretty much any car, including tips and tricks and the nuances of your car. I was looking for exactly that, in printed form, and was willing to shell out this much for it. My mistake. Really, save your money and do a little research on the internet.

Maxima Rear Deck Speaker Access

I hate to give such a low rating for anything at Crutchfield because you're so good at what you do. However, I was led down a very time consuming and frustrating road in order to remove my rear deck speakers in my Maxima. I took a picture of my car after removing the entire rear interior out of my car and posted it in my Maxima group on Facebook. I was laughed at by everyone and they all said the same thing, pop the two pillar covers along the rear glass and that's it. I literally spent hours and it could have been accessed in 15 minutes. Maybe something to revisit by the fellas who do this work for the company. I'm not angry because I have to run wires up front and now it's wide open for doing that.

first my complaint... What I thought I was ordering was the Master Sheet for my 2015 Buick Lacrosse. My understanding when I paid for it was that they were throwing in the Research Notes for free. I promptly received an email with the invoice and the Research Notes pdf. The order status on the web site said pending shipment... it still does like 2 weeks late. I finally called and had a rep tell me that the research notes was all I was getting. Then why the 5 stars? Because those notes got me through my speaker replacements perfectly and that was worth the price alone. So thanks for that... but I never got that Master Sheet as pictured above.

The directions were very good. The only problem I had were the wire colors for the tweeter wires were different. I took a wild guess and connected the wires right the first time. They did there job I used a 1.5 circle saw on the sail panel to flush mount the tweeters.
