Have to have the grip!!! I'm a big guy and love having more camera to hold onto. The joystick is really in a great place and I've been very happy with the overall performance. Crutchfield also knocked it out of the park with super fast delivery and excellent customer service!!!

Perfect Battery grip for my EOS R6

This exactly what I expected from Canon, solid construction and very good materials. I am a bird photographer and having two batteries available during a long photography day is crucial. I also think that the camera is more balanced with the battery grip. Mirrorless cameras are becoming smaller and smaller and sometimes this is not an advantage especially while using big telephoto lenses. Taking pictures in portrait mode is very easy with all the main commands replicated while rotating the camera 90 degrees. I always used Canon original OEM battery grips on my previous cameras like the 70D and 7D MKII and I never had any issue, so think the extra money is justified.
