Features
Overview: The Canon RC-6 IR Remote Controller lets you take pictures while you are standing away from your compatible Canon DSLR camera. Compared to the self-timer function built into many Canon cameras, the IR remote controller gives you as much time as you need before shooting when you want to be in the picture. It is also useful to minimize camera shake when taking pictures such as night scenes or close-ups when the camera is mounted on a tripod or other support.
Compatibility: The RC-6 Remote Controller is only compatible with select Canon DSLR cameras which support wireless remote control shooting.
Effective Range: The maximum effective range of the RC-6 Remote Controller is approximately 16.4 feet when the remote controller is directly facing the camera. The distance decreases when shooting at an angle.
Note: Remote control shooting may not be possible in backlit conditions.
Release Modes: The RC-6 Remote Controller offers immediate or two-second delay shutter release modes. It is also compatible with "bulb" mode.
Bulb Shooting: During bulb shooting, pressing the transmit button once locks the shutter in the open state, an pressing it again closes the shutter. It is not necessary to hold down t he transmit button.
Battery: The RC-6 operates off of a single CR2032 3-Volt Lithium battery, which comes installed in the remote. The battery life is approximately 6,000 transmissions.

Very convenient. Works perfectly for taking self portrates and/or group shots with photographer in shots. Also great way to take telephoto shot on a tripod without disturbing the camera to snap the photo. Smal and convenient to carry on camera strap. Priced right.
