Excellent results are the norm with Canon DSLRs. As an upgrade from an older DSLR I most appreciate the articulating screen for taking candid portraits. Also, the screen gives a nice hint as to exposure compensation needs. I still like looking through the lens for most shots and I am glad that I did not choose a mirror-less camera. The wifi link to my phone is cool, but not yet truly needed. The light weight with the (really nice) kit lens is a plus for carrying it around for a few hours. My other lenses were bought to suit APS-C sensors and all fit this camera without adaptors. I always shoot RAW so I can't comment on JPEG output. The camera makes it is easy to compose, focus and correctly expose. The rest is up to you!
