Be ready to capture action whenever it happens with the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS. This little camera boasts some seriously powerful zoom for a camera of any size, but it's compact and lightweight enough to go with you anywhere.
The SX730 HS is perfect for photographing everyday life, kids, pets, and special events. And it's also great for sports and wildlife. With 40X optical zoom, there isn't much that's out of your reach. You can zoom out to show an entire scene, or zoom all the way in for frame-filling detail shots. Zoom Framing Assist helps you keep long-range subjects in the frame and in focus. And Intelligent IS (Image Stabilization) minimizes image blur to keep your photos sharp.
The SX-730 HS has a high-sensitivity 20.3-megapixel sensor that lets you take low-light images with less noise. Canon used the same high-performance DIGIC 6 image processor they put in their higher-end cameras for an extra boost in image quality. Powerful processing also gives the SX-730 HS fast, responsive autofocus and continuous shooting at a rate of 5.9 frames per second.
Wireless connectivity lets you upload and share photos and videos taken with the SX730 HS in a matter of moments. Bluetooth lets you easily connect and remotely control the camera via Canon's free Camera Connect app. This connection also gives you the option to use your phone's GPS to geotag your images. A Wi-Fi connection lets you download images to your phone or tablet, and use your device to see what the camera sees.

Pros: Fast focus Battery duration
My second Canon PowerShot camera and it is just perfect for my picture taking. Zoom is one of favorite features. Easy to use and good quality for price.
Purchased this camera for an Alaskan cruise. I knew I would want to have a camera with a great zoom. I took over 1000 pictures and am completely satisfied with the quality and ease of use. Pictures transfer with ease to my phone or iPad. 100 percent satisfied.
Great Camera. Just used it on a Viking Cruise and could not have been happier.
Pros: Great Zoom capabilities and takes pictures in all light on auto. Easy to use and we love the selfies capability.
Cons: Camera is a little too large but manageable with after market hip case.
This is my third camera in the Canon PowerShot series. each time I have traded up to get additional focal length. I find these to be so reliable and so convenient that my very expensive (and very heavy) DSLR and all its assorted lens remains at home. I am impressed with the increased lens power in the SX730 and, though it has added another ounce or so to total weight, it still slips into a pocket. I recommend this camera to anyone seeking a great range of focus with a small amount of weight. Picture quality is great, even at long range focus and operating instructions are clear and easily understood. I need a vacation so I can give it a real workout!
The camera was a gift to my wife who can be camera challenged. She was able to operate the camera with very little instructions. The moveable screen is a great feature that we haven't had in previous cameras. We were able to take a timed picture with little effort. It is small enough to fit in her purse which was the number one concern. It takes great pictures. There is also a feature that downloads the pictures into her cell phone, from there she can upload them to Walgreens and print what she wants. She was wowed by this feature. Purchasing from Crutchfield is a smart move. They will help you if you have any problems with picture quality. That's a great benefit.
Best camera I ever owned. I have had many other brands over year that cost ten times as much but did not come up to this Canon SC730 HS - I'd recommend it to everyone. Easy to use and great photos and videos
Pros: Ease of use and great phots
Haven't used it much yet but so far I love it
Fits in your hand, light weight and user friendly. I took pictures of the Super Blue Blood Eclipse moon event and was very surprised at the pictures taken. It was really and definitely, point and shoot. Of course, the camera did give you the options for manual settings, if you want to go that route.
Pros: User friendly, size and weight.
Cons: Haven't found one yet

Shooting Modes: You can choose between the following shooting modes using the top panel mode dial:
Metering Modes: You can select from the following metering modes:
Exposure Compensation: If you are shooting against a bright background or strong backlight, you may need to correct the exposure so that the subject doesn't come out too dark. You can set the adjustments from -2 to +2 in 1/3-step increments.
White Balance: You can choose from the following white balance settings: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Fluorescent H, and Custom.
Flash Modes: The PowerShot SX730 HS has a built-in pop-up flash. You can select Auto (flash fires in low light), Slow-synchro, On (flash always fires), or Off (flash doesn't fire). The built-in flash has a range of 1.6' to 13.1' in Wide Angle and up to 6.6' in Telephoto. In the menu, you can turn on the Red-Eye Reduction lamp for the flash, and apply Red-Eye Correction to the images that have been taken.
ISO Speed: The ISO speed can be set Automatically (ISO Auto), or manually ISO 80 to ISO 3200 in 1 EV steps. Lowering the ISO speed results in sharper images but there's a greater chance of subject or image blurring in certain shooting conditions. Raising the ISO speed results in a faster shutter speed, reducing blurred images. The images, however, will appear more coarse.
My Colors: You can choose the look and feel of the photos you take by using My Colors to add the following effects to the image you are currently recording or have already recorded: Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, B/W, Positive Film, Lighter Skin Tone, Darker Skin Tone, Vivid Blue, Vivid Green, Vivid Red, and Custom Color.
Self-Timer: The SX730 HS utilizes a 10-second, 2-second, and a custom self-timer to allow the photographer to be included in the shot, or to avoid camera shake when using a tripod. The custom self-timer allows you to set the time delay to 1-15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds for up to 10 shots.
Index Display: This feature allows you to view 6, 12, 36, or 100 images at once on the LCD monitor so that you can search for an image quickly. Movies cannot be played in the index playback mode. You can view the index display by rotating the zoom lever toward wide angle while the camera is in playback mode.
Filtered Playback: When there are many images on the memory card, you can filter and display them by a specified filter. You can also protect or delete all images at once while filtered. Available filters include: Name, People, Shot Date, Favorites, and Still Image/Movie.
Shooting Display Options: You can choose to display your photos on the LCD monitor and the viewfinder with and without shooting information. Display options include Histogram, Overexposure Warning, GPS Information, or no Information.
Red-Eye Correction: You can correct red eyes in already recorded images. However, red eyes may not be automatically detected in some images such as faces near the screen edge, faces that appear extremely small, larger dark or bright in relation to the overall image and faces turned to the side or at a diagonal and faces with a portion hidden which prevents the Red-Eye Correction from working. You can choose to overwrite the file with the corrected image, or store the image as a new file, retaining the original image.
PictBridge: Using the supplied USB cable, you can connect this camera directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer of any brand. In this way, you can make prints directly from the camera without having to connect to a computer.
Wi-Fi Features: You can send and receive images and control the camera remotely by connecting the camera to another device via Wi-Fi:
Connecting Smartphones: The PowerShot SX730 HS has a dedicated button for connecting a smartphone. You must first assign a phone to the button, and simply press the button when you're ready to connect. If you'd like to connect a different smartphone, you can connect it via the Wi-Fi menu, as you would connect a computer or another device. Multiple smartphones can be added in this manner. Android smartphones with the NFC feature (running OS version 4.0 or later) can connect to the camera by simply touching the smartphone to the camera's N-mark (on the left side).
