Unnecessary but cool accessory for Devialet products

Admittedly, a few days after purchasing this remote and the Devialet Dione, I found myself using the Devialet app for remote functions more than this piece of equipment. It's not that I don't like it or that it's inconvenient... it's simply that it doesn't do all that much (the free app does quite a bit more--and I believe the app is more precise in handling volume). That said, this physical remote is upgradable (when I first turned it on, it immediately upgraded via the app), so, hopefully, the functionality will expand, or at least the precision of the dial will improve. The remote, like all Devialet products, looks gorgeous and it should be noted that even though it seems that people mention this product as a companion to the Phantom range, it pairs nicely with other pieces of Devialet equipment as well. In the case of the Dione (sound bar), you need some sort of remote. The only (minor) problem with this remote in that context is that Devialet's app seems to do more, rendering the physical remote rather basic -- but beautiful. I will say that it's great that it runs off a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and each charge lasts for several days of use, sometimes more (all depending upon how much it is used). This brings me to the only other quibble I have with the remote; I wish, instead of a small On/Off switch in the back, it had an auto On/Off feature, as I tend to forget it's on and sometimes, forgetfully, leave it that way, draining the battery.
Pros: - both analogue and digital aspects contribute to make it look gorgeous - cleverly, it runs on a rechargeable battery (which lasts quite a while on a single charge) - upgradable via the Devialet app
Cons: - expensive - limited capabilities
