About the SoundTube RS1001i-II-T

Feel the low notes, even with high ceilings
Feel the low notes, even with high ceilings
In a large, open room with high ceilings, it can be difficult to find a good place for a subwoofer. The SoundTube RS1001i-II-T pendant subwoofer hangs securely from the ceiling and adds rich, musical bass to your system. It's even weather-resistant, so you can use it indoors or out.
A built-in transformer tap lets you decide how much power to send to the sub, for integration with your commercial audio system. Cables and mounting hardware are included.
Our commercial audio group recommended a RS1001i-II-T subwoofer as part of a unique gym sound system.

Features
Overview: The Soundtube RS1001i is a pendant-mount 25, 70, and 100 volt commercial subwoofer designed for maximum efficiency and frequency response for both indoor and outdoor applications. The speaker is well suited for installations where high quality and true bass response are critical. Applications for the RS1001i include aerobics rooms, nightclubs, theme parks, ballrooms, churches and other open-ceiling applications.
Driver: The RS1001i features a 10" polypropylene woofer with a butyl rubber surround, delivering a consistent dispersion pattern for maximum intelligibility and edge to edge coverage. The subwoofer's frequency response is accentuated by a 70Hz peak to maximize the listener's low-frequency experience.
Enclosure: The RS1001i housing offers long lasting performance and efficiency with its flared and tuned front baffle ports. The enclosure is made with glass-fiber reinforced injection molded ABS, along with a powder-coated steel grill. All the speaker components have been weatherized for indoor/outdoor applications and carry both UL1480 UEAY and UL2239 ratings as well as being Mil-Spec 810 approved.
25/70/100 Volt: Designed primarily for distributed systems, the RS1001i includes a 150 watt transformer housed inside the speaker enclosure. Wiring connections consist of a 4-terminal Euroblock connector on top of the speaker that can accept speaker wire from 22 - 14 gauge in size. One set of terminals is provided as the input while the other paralleled terminals can be used for daisy-chaining multiple speakers. A terminal weather boot is provided to protect the Euroblock connector from dust and moisture. The rotary tap-dial is accessed through a removable rubber plug on the grill and provides the following tap selections along with a 4Ω bypass selection:
- 25V: 2.4W, 4.8W, 9.5W, and 19W
- 70V: 19W, 38W, 75W, and 150W
- 100V: 38W, 75W, and 150W
- 4Ω
Installation: The pendant speaker is designed to be suspended using the included 10.5' galvanized steel cable system. The top of the speaker houses the suspension point with 3 holes for attaching cables; the center one is for attaching the main support and either of the secondary holes is used for the safety line (both cables are included). Two Gripple SpeedClamp wire hangers are included that allow the suspension cable length to be easily adjusted.
