Plant the seeds for great sound

Full disclosure: I was completely fooled by this speaker when I first saw photos of it. I looked at it and thought to myself, "Wait, there's no way this is audio-related." But that's the beauty of the Rockustics OmniPlanter. This fully functional planter has a hidden 6-1/2" coaxial speaker tucked inside that disperses dynamic sound in a 360º pattern.

How does it work?

Water and electronics aren't the best of friends, but Rockustics cleverly designed the OmniPlanter's enclosure to ensure safe, long-lasting operation. The main body of the OmniPlanter features a bowl-shaped top for planting flowers and the like. That "bowl" has a black box at the bottom that the speaker is housed in. Fill the bowl with pea gravel until it's about 2" over the black box to let the planter drain properly around the speaker.  After the gravel is in place, you fill the rest of the planter with soil and can plant away.

Durable drivers

The downward-firing 6-1/2" speaker inside the black box uses a durable polypropylene cone with a butyl rubber surround. That material combination results in a woofer that lasts all year every year and pumps out loud, detailed tunes. The 3/4" mylar-dome tweeter in the middle of the woofer keeps the highs smooth and non-fatiguing. 

An all-weather enclosure that withstands the elements

You can leave the OmniPlanter outside on your deck or patio year-round. The planter itself is made of rotation-molded UV-stable polyethylene. It's a hardy material that resists scratches, UV rays, chlorine, and almost anything else mother nature can throw at it (like rain, snow, and ice).
