Panamax designed their Vertex-series power strips with versatility in mind. You can mount the VT-EXT12 on one of your component rack's vertical rails, making it a power distribution option that won't take up a valuable rack space.
The power strip comes with plastic spacer clips that provide ground isolation when it's mounted. You can also safely use it with power line conditioners from Panamax or Furman. If you plug the 'EXT12 into a line conditioner, you can extend the line filtering and power protection that conditioner provides to any component plugged into the power strip.

When plugged into any Panamax, Furman, or other brand of power management product (sold separately), the Vertex will share all of the same AC line protection and AC line filtering. The VT-EXT12 is designed to mount vertically along a component rack system.
