About the Hertz CS 250 S2
Designed to fit
Designed to fit
With over two decades of experience, Hertz knows how to build great-sounding car audio gear, and their speakers, subs, and amps get raves from our customers. They designed the CS 250 S2 shallow-mount 10" subwoofer to get powerful bass from a very small enclosure, and its 4-1/2" mounting depth allows installation in the smaller spaces of today's cars.
Tough enough
The CS 250 S2 10" subwoofer features a rugged polypropylene cone that punches out deep, rich bass, while minimizing distortion. The sub handles up to 300 watts RMS power, and its 2-ohm impedance makes it a great match for a mono sub amp. Push terminals accept up to 8-gauge speaker wire so you can maximize the signal delivered to the speaker.
Minimal clearance needed
This sub is designed to mount close to the back wall of your enclosure and requires very little clearance in front. It's optimized for enclosures as small as 0.57 cubic feet, so it will tuck into a corner of the trunk or under the rear seat of many trucks. A tough PVC gasket lets you install Hertz' CG 250 speaker grille (sold separately) for extra speaker protection and a clean, finished look.
For big bass in a small space, the CS 250 S2 is engineered to excel. You'll get the thump you're looking for in a rugged subwoofer that'll vanish in the corners of your vehicle.

Features
Terminals: The spring post terminals will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs (but not dual), and bare wire up to 8 gauge.
Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and computer software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, helps Hertz optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
Sealed Box: Hertz recommends a sealed enclosure volume of 16 liters (0.57 ft³). Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable for all types of music.
Crossover: Hertz recommends a low pass crossover point of 70 Hz - 80 Hz and a subsonic filter at 15 Hz. A 24 dB/octave slope is recommended for both.
