Meh... good picture just not worth the money

Not exactly sure on my rating yet as I've only had it a couple weeks so far , so comparing to my 8 year old sony bravia 60", 1) the picture is definitely better but not amazingly better, 2) I don't like how when the tv is off the reflections on the screen look warped my sony looked like a black mirror, 3) I can't my setting to stay like default to a/v speakers , and I couldn't get anything to work right running through my reciever so I had to plug everything into the samsung hub which I have to reset everytime I turn on the tv with the sony my a/v reciever would just turn on when tv was turned on and automatically go to external speakers. 4) it has more window glare than my sony also I thought this q90 was supposed to be amazing with window glare.

Pros: Picture Pretty good speakers if not using externals. Good solid stand

Cons: Window glare Component hook up Warped looking screen

Fantastic picture! I replaced a 3 year old Samsung 65" Curve with this model. Our room is very bright in the daylight, this tv handles it without any issues. I cannot believe the difference, the picture is stunning.

Very happy with the Samsung Q90 and compared to the Q60, a step up

I already had a 49" Q60 in a different room so I was familiar with many of the smart TV features and 4k picture quality. Both the Q60 and Q90 are very similar in that regard since the resolution, motion rate, and image processors are exactly the same. Where the Q90 stands out for me is in three areas: HDR range, the One Connect Box, and the slim wall footprint using the Samsung no-gap wall mount. The Q90 picture is absolutely brilliant on everything from 4k HD sports broadcasts via cable, Netflix, the native Apple TV, XBox One, to upscaling older DVDs. The depth and contrast is unparalleled and it is here where the HDR being four times deeper than the HDR on the Q60 stands out. It is a TV that will last for a number of years with a picture quality of this caliber, and I plan on doing just that. The installation of the no-gap wall mount was very easy using a combination of included wood stud bolts and toggle bolts, though I did need a second person of similar height and strength to help with the lift-and-place given the precision of the mounting bracket. And lastly, the One Connect box is a clean cabling dream. I can run all inputs to the One Connect, and run optical audio out to my Yamaha receiver for surround. Highly recommend the Q90 for these three reasons, but if you are on a budget and don't care about these reasons the Q60 is a fantastic option since the picture quality is very similar for half the price.

Pros: HDR levels are absolutely insane, the One Connect Box is super clean, and the slim wall footprint using the Samsung no-gap wall mount makes for a great looking home theater setup.

Cons: Only the price. Based on Samsung specs, the HDR capabilities are 4x the capabilities of the Q60. Other than that, you'd have to do a side-by-side comparison to tell the difference.

Excellent TV

The picture quality is outstanding. The area where the TV is located has varying light through out the day and the screen is never washed out. The fact that it only has one small fiber optic cable to the TV is just one more added plus. I already had one Samsung smart TV but the number of APPS that are available for this model is unbelieavable. I would definitely recommend this TV to a friend

Pros: Picture quality, one cable

Great TV and Crutchfield Rocks

Easiest smart tv setup we've ever had. It recognized and named everything attached to it, including our Sonos sound system. Picture is fantastic. Blackest blacks. More accurate colors = less color banding. Noticeably less than a 2016 model Q8 we have. Crutchfield's service is par excellence. When UPS messed up and failed to get our TV on the truck (and even suggested we drive an hour to their hub to pick it up ourselves), Crutchfield intervened and forced UPS to special deliver it as originally promised.
