About the Samsung QN75LST7T "The Terrace"
QLED designed for the outdoors
QLED designed for the outdoors
The 75" QN75LST7T is the largest model in Samsung's all-new series of outdoor TVs called "The Terrace." Its 4K QLED picture is engineered to look incredibly vivid and bright, especially in daylight. The QN75LST7T has a full-array backlight with local dimming (FALD), plus built-in Wi-Fi and a full suite of web streaming apps. Those are features you don't often find on outdoor TVs.
Protection against dust, rain, heat, and cold
The reason outdoor TVs cost so much more than regular TVs is their weatherproof design and construction — there's just no cheap or easy way to do it right. Samsung designed the QN75LST7T to be resistant to extreme temperatures, as well as to resist water and dust.
Premium 4K picture quality
The QN75LST7T produces a vivid picture in the full-shade and partial-sun locations for which it's intended — in fact, it's one of the brightest 4K TVs we carry. In addition to high brightness, the LED backlight's precisely controlled dimming zones provide impressive contrast and black levels. Samsung also included their powerful Quantum Processor 4K, which performs several tasks, including upconverting non-4K content so that it looks sharp and detailed on this 4K screen.
If you also want an outdoor TV that's great for gaming, you're in luck. Samsung's Real Game Enhancer+ improves motion clarity to reduce halo and blur, and supports variable refresh rate for smooth gaming graphics without frame tearing or stuttering.
The QN75LST7T's built-in speakers provide adequate sound, but if you want to enjoy top-notch audio quality to match the lifelike 4K picture, we suggest pairing this TV with Samsung's matching HW-LST70T sound bar.
Built-in Apple TV app, and cool voice control options
Like Samsung's entire 2020 4K TV lineup, this one includes the Apple TV streaming app, so you can rent, buy, and watch titles from Apple's video library, and subscribe to Apple TV channels, with just a wired or wireless internet connection. The QN75LST7T also supports Apple® AirPlay® 2, so you'll be able to stream content wirelessly from your iPhone®, iPad®, or Mac® to a much bigger screen.
The weatherproof remote will automatically detect, identify, and control your connected devices and content. And it makes it easy to activate either of the TV's built-in intelligent voice assistants: Bixby or Alexa. Simply press the "mic" button on the remote and say "Hi Bixby" or "Alexa."
The QN75LST7T is also compatible with Google Home voice assistants (firmware update required).

More details on the Samsung QN75LST7T "The Terrace"
Features & specs
Outdoor Optimized Picture: Samsung's Terrace TV has been engineered specifically to produce a high-quality 4K image with incredible vividness and brightness in an outdoor environment. The Terrace offers a crystal-clear display to increase visibility in a variety of outdoor conditions (including partial sun & full shade). It provides a brightness level of 2,000 nits, ensuring that you will be able to enjoy content in vivid picture quality, even in broad daylight. The screen is also coated with an anti-reflection coating to reduce glare, enhance picture contrast, and provide a wider viewing angle.
- Normal Mode: The Samsung Terrace TV provides an optimal viewing experience between 50 degrees and 113 degrees Fahrenheit. At a temperature above 113 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, the TV's luminance my be lowered to protected the television from overheating.
- Outdoor Mode: In low temperatures below 50 degrees to -22 degrees Fahrenheit, motion blur may occur due to liquid crystal characteristics. Use the Outdoor Mode to view the TV during low temperatures below 50 degrees to -22 degrees Fahrenheit. Outdoor Mode keeps the startup stable by operating the TV backlight when the weather is very cold. When Outdoor Mode is active, be sure to keep the power supply connected at all times. Outdoor Mode continues to operate in standby (off) and the screen may appear gray. When Outdoor Mode is activated the TV will consume more power in standby mode (up to 400W MAX).
- The TV's overall operating temperature is -22 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The TV should not be used when the temperature is below or above the recommended operating temperature.
- The TV should be installed in Partial Sun or Full Shade. It should never be installed in direct sunlight.
QLED Technology: The Terrace TV utilizes Quantum Dots along with Samsung's Quantum Processor 4K to produce an immersive viewing experience with a wide range of color, exceptional contrast, and accurate detail. Its b Quantum Dots are nano-sized, cadmium-free, finely tuned particles that turn light into the brilliant billion plus colors you experience on the Terrace TV. Quantum dots are inorganic particles that resist wear out, so you can enjoy superb picture quality for years. As some TVs age, you may see that colors are less vibrant. The Terrace TV is built to last and provide a vibrant picture even after long periods of time. Samsung's metal alloy quantum dot pixels feature inorganic materials that are engineered for durability and resistance to fading.
- Direct Full Array 16X w/ Ultimate UHD Dimming Pro: The Samsung Terrace TV employs a Direct Full Array 16X Backlight System with Ultimate UHD Dimming Pro to reveal exceptional detail, enhanced depth, and dynamic contrast. Unlike edge-lit TVs where the LEDs are positioned along the edges of the screen, this Samsung Terrace TV positions numerous LEDs directly behind the screen that are spread across the back of the television for more consistent brightness and contrast. Ultimate UHD Dimming consists of an extremely large number of precisely controlled zones across the entire LCD panel that adjusts the brightness of each zone to deliver deep, rich blacks and crisp, bright whites. LEDs behind the darkest area of the picture are dimmed for greater contrast and darker blacks, while the brighter elements remain as bright as they should be for sharper contrast. The TV's Direct Full Array 16X Backlight System in combination with Ultimate UHD Dimming Pro produces deeper, darker, and richer images that make what you're watching on screen virtually come to life.
- 100% Color Volume: Samsung Terrace TV delivers 100% color volume with over a billion shades of color (powered by Quantum Dots). Terrace TVs with 100% Color Volume deliver a brilliant visual experience by providing a rejuvenating effect for colors that may appear dull or faded in challenging content. QLED televisions can produce 100% color volume in the DCI-P3 color space, the format for most cinema screen and HDR movies for television. By definition, Color Volume is an index of how well colors are reproduced in richness and accuracy at different brightness. With higher color volume, you get a wider, more diverse range of color that feels rejuvenated at higher brightness levels.
Note: This TV complies with the CTA 4K Ultra High-Definition Connected definition requirements. The trade organization known as the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is considered an industry authority on engineering standards for consumer electronics in the United States. Visit www.cta.tech for more information.
Quantum Processor 4K: Samsung's powerful 4K Quantum processor automatically upscales to 4K and optimizes the picture to deliver a more immersive experience. Now you can get 4K resolution picture, regardless of the source.
- 4K AI Upscaling: The Samsung Terrace TV has a display resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 (4K) and will display all video at that resolution, regardless of input signal, thanks to 4K AI upscaling. 4K AI Upscaling delivers the complete Ultra-HD picture experience with a proprietary process including signal analysis, noise reduction, UHD upscaling, and detail enhancement to seamlessly upconvert SD, HD, or full-HD content to Ultra-HD level picture quality.
- Adaptive Picture: The Terrace TV adapts the picture brightness in real-time. It automatically adjusts the backlight brightness of the screen by detecting the ambient light level using ambient light sensors. Whether in a sunlit living room or a darkened den, Adaptive Picture adjusts the TV to the lighting conditions around it for an amazing picture - wherever you are watching.
Quantum HDR 32X: Quantum HDR 32X combines Samsung's QLED and HDR10+ technology to give you a much wider range of brightness and contrast, bringing all the picture nuances to life. As a result, you'll see extended shades of colors that vividly "pop", with greater dynamic range, improved contrasting detail, and darker scene highlights that come alive in stunning HDR - just as the director intended. You'll enjoy a beautiful picture, whether you're watching in a room drenched with light or with no light at all.
- HDR10: HDR10 is an open standard and currently the most popular HDR format on the market. It supports 10-bit color and 1,000 nits. It uses static metadata at the start of a movie to tell the receiver and your TV that the video content is encoded using HDR. HDR delivers a much higher level of contrast between light and dark to produce an image that is more realistic and closer to what the content creator imagined. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth.
- HDR10+: Samsung Electronics and Amazon Prime Video announced the entire Prime Video HDR library is now available in HDR10+, a new open standard that leverages dynamic metadata to produce enhanced contrast and colors on an expanded range of televisions. Prime Video is the first streaming service provider to deliver HDR10+ content to its users. The HDR10+ technology on Prime Video incorporates dynamic metadata that allows the Samsung Terrace TV to adjust brightness levels on a scene-by-scene or even frame-by-frame basis. By applying individualized tone mapping to each scene, HDR10+ delivers an incredible viewing experience. The picture quality offers an enhanced visual experience with more detailed expressions, brighter shadow areas and more accurate color renderings that stay true to the creator's original intent.
- HLG: HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma) is primarily designed for live video feed and over-the-air broadcasts. It uses no pre-encoded metadata and is backwards compatible with SDR. HLG's native compatibility allows much of today's existing SDR infrastructure to be re-used for HDR in the future.
Note: This TV does not support Dolby Vision.
Auto Motion Plus (MR 240): The Samsung Terrace TV combines its 120Hz native panel refresh rate with Samsung's proprietary Auto Motion Plus (MR 240) image processing technology, Auto Motion Plus (MR 240) helps to remove blur and judder from scenes with large amounts of rapid movement to provide a clearer picture. Auto Motion Plus (MR 120) reduces blur so that action movies, sports and video games have enhanced clarity. The TV also offers manual motion adjustments.
- LED Clear Motion: Enable LED Clear Motion to sharpen fast moving images. When fast moving objects are recognized, the TV's backlight behind the objects are adjusted accordingly.
- Blur Reductions: Manually reduce screen blur to optimize for fast-moving images, such as sports cntent.
- Judder Reduction: Manually adjust the TV's Judder Reduction to smooth out uneven and jumpy visually processing that can sometimes be caused by fast motion video.
