This card, among other Samsung micro SD cards that I've purchased in the past, have all failed completely (can't format, all data lost, unable to write partition tables, etc.) in various devices (Android tablets, digital cameras, GPS units, dash cams, etc.). I've finally learned my lesson and will not purchase another Samsung memory card. I've had far better success with other cards available from Crutchfield including PNY, Monster, and Sony. I have PNY cards that are in 24/7 use with looped video recording in my wireless security cameras and they do not miss a beat. The Samsung cards were generally just handling photo storage from the camera apps of Android phones and tablets, or in one instance a Garmin auto GPS unit with built-in dash camera (very nice!) that I've purchased at Crutchfield, where it was seeing a bit more use with recording daily driving. Regardless, I've never experienced such failures with any other brand at such a high rate. I'm nearly certain that every Samsung card I've purchased has failed. I have a small handful in my electronics recycling heap waiting to be dismantled. Samsung makes great products - just can't make sense as to why their SD cards fail so frequently and regularly, and without warning.
Pros: Crutchfield's customer service
Cons: Samsung's SD cards seem prone to fail. Several other Samsung cards I've purchased elsewhere that have all since failed in various devices and I've never bothered to pursue any warranty claims just anticipating that it will be a hassle. That said, when this card took a dive on me (all data lost, will not format), Crutchfield took care of me without any hassle. Stick to other brands like Sony, Monster, or PNY. I have them in 24/7 use for video recording and they've all far outlasted Samsung.
