Our take on the Samsung Sound+ SWA-W700

I always recommending adding a subwoofer to your sound bar, whenever possible. It delivers deep, powerful bass — plus it frees up the bar to do it's thing. Since the bar's built-in drivers don't have to produce low end, they can focus on the frequencies that they are better equipped to handle. So you get better all-around TV sound. The Samsung Sound+ SWA-700 plugs into the wall and connects wirelessly to Samsung HW-MS650HW-MS6500 or Samsung HW-MS750 sound bar.

Product Highlights:

  • adds deep bass to the Samsung HW-MS650, HW-MS6500, and Samsung HW-MS750 sound bars
  • connects wirelessly for flexible placement
    • range: 30 feet
    • We recommend placing along the front of the viewing area for optimal sound
  • automatically tunes bass response to complement the connected sound bar
  • solid construction with "unibody" design
    • looks similar from front to back
  • built-in amplifier (connects to AC outlet for power)
  • distortion canceling technology predicts when woofer could rattle
    • plays solid, stable sounds that help control woofer movement
  • 12-3/4"W x 13-1/2"H x 12-3/4"D
  • weight: 32 lbs.
  • only compatible with Samsung Sound+ sound bars
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

What's in the Box:

  • Wireless powered sub
  • 5' AC power cord
  • Wireless dongle
  • 2 Dongle holders
  • 2 Screws
  • User Manual

I have a Samsung 4k Television and the 750 sound Bar. I recently added the w700 Subwoofer. Although the sound was great with just the Sound bar I can tell a big difference in the sound. Sound is richer and I love the bass. With the price drop it is a great deal.

Deep heart thumping bass

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sub woffers have come a long way now they don't need wires to connect them to your receiver amp or ever a line signal, Bluetooth has made adding subs really easy just plug-in the power cord. This Samsung subwoofer is powerful and will add full body depth to what ever sound system it's connected to. I have it connected to the sound bar Samsung recommend for deep bass when called for. The paring was easy just plug in the fob that comes with the subwoofer and select iden with the remote control. It's not necessary to have the sub right near the sound bar since bass is mostly non directional so it can be aways from the tv let's say behind a couch ,chair or curtain as long as there is a power outlet near. I say this sub won't disappoint.

Pros: All good

Cons: Fob connector could be improved but this has nothing to do with its performance.

Excellent small subwoofer paired with a Sound+ soundbar

Paul from Chapel Hill , NC on 12/21/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I initially purchased the Samsung Sound+ HW-MS750 soundbar which sounded great by itself. But a couple months later I added this subwoofer and it made a huge difference in the overall sound experience! I should have just purchased them together in the beginning which is what I would recommend to anyone thinking about one of the Samsung Sound+ soundbars. They are designed to work together and they sound great both with TV, streaming video, and music. While this subwoofer is not going to shake the walls you can totally hear and feel the additional bass. It's relatively small and unobtrusive as well which is a plus for room placement. I'm very happy with the combination of the soundbar and subwoofer and highly recommend the pair. ...Next up will be the matching rear surround speakers...

Great sound huge upgrade from a standard Samsung soundbar

Lots of deep, hard hitting bass

Marion from Charlotte, NC on 1/8/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very loud deep bass. I added this to my HW-MS650 sound bar, with surround sound speakers, and I have to tell you, best 400 I've spent. Connected seamlessly, and has really deep hard hitting bass. It looks great sitting in the corner too, very simple design. I got this system to replace an energy sound bar system which was extremely loud but was not nearly as clear as the Samsung system that I've put together.

Pros: Lots of bass, but will not over saturate the sound of the sound bar, it will complement the sound without drowning it out. Very nice complement to system.

Cons: Can only add to listed devices, would be nice if this was capable of pairing with systems that cost a little less. You have to pay to play basically.

Great Sub Woofer

Greg from Hampstead, NC on 12/14/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Outstanding addition to my Samsung sound bar! Happy I spent the money!

Pros: Great bass in conjunction with Samsung sound bar

Cons: Couldn't get the first one to connect to the sound bar... returned and purchased from Crutchfield. Be patient in connecting to your sound bar and either call for assistance from seller or Samsung.

I just added the sub to the ms750 .the unit is down in my basement and it makes the windows tattle. The soundbar alone can not produce the bass that i want.

Pros: Incredible sound .

Cons: Little pricey......should have waited for sales .

Sorry can't answer. My Samsung doesn't have Dolby Atmos capability. [ John  Jun 10, 2018 ]
Well I recently bought this product to go with my Samsung HW-MS650 and it's fine. I'm not familiar with the designation of Dolby Atmos ones. I'm sure you may be more knowledgeable than myself. If you haven't yet, give the folks at Crutchfield a call and I'm sure they will help if they can. If not, try Samsung and you "might" find someone to help. Good luck!?? [ Gregory  Jun 10, 2018 ]
I would think so. It's Samsung product [ ANDRE  Jun 10, 2018 ]
