About the Samsung TXN2670WHF
The 26" HDTV-ready TXN2670WHF brings the HDTV experience to budgets and spaces that can't accommodate larger screens. But don't worry, you'll still enjoy the incredibly sharp images and cinema-like widescreen presentation that are the hallmarks of HDTV. (HDTV reception requires a separate HDTV tuner.) Actually, this is the smallest tube-type widescreen TV we know of it will probably fit in many home entertainment cabinets.
This value-packed TV is based on Samsung's totally flat DynaFlat picture tube. This design greatly reduces the distortion and room reflections which affect most curved-screen TVs. You don't realize how distracting those things are until they're suddenly gone! And the TXN2670WHF uses an improved screen design with a tighter "dot pitch," which means there are more pixels, which translates to increased detail and clarity.
The TXN2670WHF's sleek cabinet doesn't need much space perfect for apartments, bedrooms, dens, and dorms. Thanks to the high-resolution screen, you can sit as close as 5 feet away and you won't notice pixels or lines just a beautiful picture! All standard video sources like broadcast and cable TV, satellite TV, DVD, etc., are upconverted to 480p by Samsung's Pro Chip Plus "line-doubling" circuitry. The results are impressive, especially with DVDs! To enjoy the pinpoint clarity of HDTV broadcasts, simply connect a separate HDTV tuner.
Two component video inputs let you connect a progressive-scan or standard DVD player plus an HDTV tuner. Four standard A/V inputs handle your current video sources.

High Resolution DynaFlat HD Fine Pitch Flat Picture Tube: With a Samsung DynaFlat HD Monitor the overall resolution has been improved by making the individual phosphor color dots (pixels) smaller and closer together.
Dynamic Multiple Focus Electron Gun: The Multiple Focus Electron Gun achieves better spot focus, greater corner-to-corner focus, and presents higher resolution picture quality.
Invar Shadow Mask: The Invar Shadow Mask allows increased focus and brightness without sacrificing color purity.
Dark Tint Picture Tube: The dark tint picture tube minimizes reflections and improves colors and picture contrast.
Digital Pro Picture 3-Stage Video Correction: Samsung's Digital Pro Picture 3-Stage Video Correction is a three-stage video processing system that produces a high-performance picture from both analog and digital sources. This system includes the following stages:
- Total DSP: In this stage, the television converts analog to digital, restores picture strength to 100% of original, optimizes brightness, and enhances picture quality.
- ProChip Plus: The ProChip Plus doubles lines of resolution, converts interlaced images to smooth progressive scan, reduces flicker, and smoothes motion.
- Defining Filter: The filter sharpens edges, removes misty, unclear details, and eliminates analog artifacts and noise.
3:2 Pulldown Processing: The 3:2 pulldown processing corrects inherent flaws in frame transfer rates from film, making a smoother picture with less distortion.
3-Line Digital Comb Filter: The 3-Line Digital Comb Filter analyzes multiple lines of picture information to minimize edge image artifacts while improving transition detail.
Velocity Scan Modulation: The velocity scan modulation sharply defines edges and outlines by controlling the speed of transitions between the black and white portions of the signal.
Auto Kinetic Bias: This feature automatically regulates the white balance to maintain consistent, optimal performance even after many years of use.
Digital Noise Reduction: If the broadcast signal received by your TV is weak, you can activate the Digital Noise Reduction feature to help reduce any static and ghosting that may appear on the screen.
Low Noise Amplifier (LNA): If the TV is operating in a weak-signal area, sometimes the LNA function can improve the reception.
