Small box, big sound
Crutchfield customer from Grenloch, NJ on 3/16/2021
I bought this to supplement the Tuks. As a pair, they are delightful! Of course, placement is everything with the subwoofer and I experimented with several positions to get it just right. Bottom is rich and tight. Listening to jazz-fusion (Chick Corea / Spyro Gyra) and small ensembles (Diana Krall / Rachael Price) with stand up bass is just beautiful. A joyful listening experience indeed!
Pros: Nice, tight bottom end Small footprint Excellent when paired with the Tuks
Cons: None that I can think of

The sub-speaker works just fine and fits on a low shelf out of the way. I was disappointed when I discovered the cone was paper. I would have preferred a poly material of some kind but the price was right and it suits my needs.
Pros: good base from a small enclosure
Cons: paper cone

Kanto SUB8
Crutchfield customer from Blacklick, OH on 1/21/2021
So far, there are no problems with this item. However, I am certain the item I received was a previously returned item. First, I was informed that I would not receive the Sub8 until mid-February. Then suddenly, this item showed up on my door step. Secondly, having received a previous Kanto product and being impressed by its concise packaging, it was obvious that the Sub8 I received had been previously opened and re-packaged. As a result, I will be less inclined to place future orders with Crutchfield. I am disappointed, to say the least.

Powerful and Compact.
Crutchfield customer from Berea, KY on 1/18/2021
I'm loving this subwoofer in a bedroom, combined with a yamaha soundbar and movie projector. Great deep bass in a very compact, sealed enclosure. Fits inside a 12x12x12 storage cube so it's not taking up any floor space. Most music plays well through this subwoofer.
Pros: Compact enclosure. Very small footprint. Deep bass. Big rumble for movies.

Kanto Sub 8 kicks
Crutchfield customer from Chadds Ford, PA on 1/11/2021
This enclosed sub is solid and compact, packing a serious punch. Foot drum is amazing, and the deep base makes music and movies feel like I'm there. Very happy with my choice. Thanks Crutchfield!
Pros: Compact and solid
Cons: Vented subs hit lower frequencies, but this is better for music imo.

Super capable compact subwoofer
Crutchfield customer from Galloway, OH on 12/13/2020
The Kanto sub is a very capable and musical sub. It's designed to integrate with the Kanto line of speakers (YU6 and similar). They work together seamlessly and do an excellent job for 2 channel music or television. The sub gives the proper weight to music and impact to music and movies. For the size and the price, this is an excellent sub and a real value. I actually like it well enough that I own two sets of Kanto speakers (YU3 and YU6) and a pair of their 8" subs.
Pros: Compact size, capable of surprising output, musical, well built with nicely finished cabinets.
Cons: Don't be surprised if you own more than one.

High value, high performance.
Matt from Dallas on 12/9/2020
I bought this sub specifically to supplement Focal ceiling speakers in the formal living room to play soft background music. I wanted the most power available with the largest woofer offered in a tiny footprint (under 12" cubed), and a low price. With the Kanto SUB8, I got all of that plus surprisingly excellent sound, given the parameters. Of course, it doesn't go extremely low, but it has plenty of volume and fills in the under-120 hertz spectrum nicely that is sorely missed from the ceiling speakers (the same is true for any ceiling speakers I've ever had at any price). I was also pleased to get 125/250 watts of power for the price; most other compact subs do not provide that much power, and they're all more expensive. Aesthetically, it's clean and doesn't draw attention to itself. I'm enjoying Christmas music even as I type - I couldn't be more pleased. I'm patiently waiting (Santa, are you listening?) on the SVS 2000 Pro for my more serious listening, but for my purposes in the living room, this Kanto SUB8 is a high-value/high performance product. I love it so far. Thank you, Crutchfield!

Using the Kanto SUB8 with Kanto YU6 speakers for my Girlfriends WORK FROM HOME workspace - She sits at the computer all day and asked about speaker upgrade- together we chose the SUB8 and YU6 speakers with Kanto 32 inch stands - Out of the box the music sounded flat BUT with finding the graphic equalizer on her MACBOOK pro the music sounds AMAZING - you can now hear EVERYTHING crystal clear- Highly recommend Kanto - to all but the most demanding audio aficionado
