Stunning for ear and eye.

The range, separation and overall performance is impressive. I hear nuances never before noticed in my music. When first played my wife, standing in another room, stated it sounded like a symphony was in the living room. Their elegant looks blend well with fine furniture. Simply breathtaking.
Pros: Pros: sonic performance, looks and for what they can do price.
Cons: Not a one.

Golden Ear Triton 1R
David from Salem, NH on 1/23/2023
I have been dreaming of owning these for a long time. When they went on sale I took the plunge. Got them in 4 days in perfect condition. Hooked them up to a 40 watt tube amp and streamed some of my favorite songs from Amazon Music and magic. Like some people state, I heard things I never heard before. But not only that, I heard the music in a different way. It sounded alive. The staging, clarity, presentation and most of all realism. When listening to Chantal Chamberlain singing Beautiful Life, I felt like she was in my room, with the rest of the band. These are full range speakers. Top to bottom. Just sound the way it should be. I can't imagine how good they will be after broken in, with a better source, and adjusting their position.
Pros: Real full range sound. No need for a sub.
Cons: None yet

GoldenEar Triton One.R

These replaced a pair of B&W 802 series 3s. The Golden Ears are better in every way. The sound is amazing and I no longer need sub woofers.
Pros: Sound, great bass, small foot print.
Cons: none

Simply Fantastic FULL RANGE Speaker
Edward from Rapid City, SD on 12/20/2022
First thought that came into my head when I was listening to the One.Rs was Clarity. The detail in what you're hearing, the way the notes hang in and fade, the integration of the bass with the rest of the speaker ... just fabulous. I very much enjoy listening to my 2-channel setup and have rotated many speakers through that system over the past few years including: SVS Ultra towers, GE Triton Fives, Polk Legend L800 (now in my HT), and Ohm Walsh Tall 2000s, all of which I still own and enjoy, great speakers, but these ... the clarity in the highs and the power/punch of the bass is simply fantastic. With basically a SuperSub XXL built into each speaker, the bass punches as low or lower than my PB-3000s in the home theater, and that reference tweeter is at another level ... and that's driving them with a PrimaLuna Evo300 tube integrated amp, what a fantastic pairing. WRT to packing, very nicely packed, while one of the speakers box was tore up a bit, the clamshell and foam used to pack the speaker kept them well protected for the shipping out west. Suffice to say, very highly recommended to family and friends, especially at this price point.
Pros: Reference Tweeter, 1,600 watt w/56 bit DSP bass amplifier built into each speaker, bass integration with the rest of the speaker, full range speaker capability, connection options ....
Cons: None really, would like to be able to remove the grill, but that's a minor thing with these beauties.

Havertown
Paul from Havertown on 12/17/2022
I've been researching floorstanders for a while and picked these up when they went on sale. The first thing I noticed was the built-in subwoofers - immense bass compared to my old standalone subwoofer. I'm using Audioquest power cords and they have helped to tighten up the bass and provide some punch. These are definitely great for movies but they also sound amazing for two channel listening, beautiful midrange sound and the tweeter puts out some really airy highs. Stereophile recommended and I understand why.

Best of both Worlds (Home Theater and Music)
The GoldenEar Triton One. R is the best loudspeaker I have owned in my 40 plus years in this expensive hobby. I own a pair of the Original Triton Ones which now handle the surround speaker duties in my home theater. The Triton One R handles the main duties connected to an integrated amplifier via home theater bypass. Having owned the original Triton Ones since 2016, I can say that once you experience a truly full range speaker (down to 20hz), I can't imagine settling on a passive speaker that struggles with the lower frequencies below 40 hertz. For those who question the reliability and longevity of the built-in powered subwoofers, I have had no issues with the subwoofers in the original Triton Ones. I am confident that GoldenEar will continue to stand by their products and offer outstanding customer service which includes providing replacement parts for the built -in powered subwoofers. Do yourself a favor and don't hesitate to check these speakers out and take advantage of the current discounts. Yes, you can add standalone subwoofers if that is your thing, but the internal subwoofer provides plenty of punch for both home theater and music. First and foremost, the Triton One R. is a great musical loudspeaker.
Pros: The AMT tweeter is outstanding and is the same tweeter used in the Triton Reference. The high frequencies cross over seamlessly to the midrange drivers which keep up with the built -in powered subwoofer.
Cons: None.

Sound is amazing. Purchased Scatch & Dent to save. As long as sound wasn't affected I could live with minor damage. One was new and the other had a cracked back corner on the bottom. Would buy again. Very happy. Thanks Goldenear, great work.
Pros: Sound
Cons: none
