Customer Q&A

5 questions already asked

Q
After mixing a gallon what's the best way to apply to records?
[ Keith  Nov 24, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
There are a few different schools of thought here, Keith. The Record Doctor VI Record cleaning machine in the link below is the ideal way to refurbish a large vinyl collection. If you have a smaller collection or prefer the hand-cleaning route you can use a spray bottle to apply the cleaner directly to the record. A small squeeze bottle is pictured in the manual for the Record Doctor VI and is always a great option. If that direct application of the cleaning solution concerns you in any way, you can always wet the microfiber with the solution and wipe your vinyl manually before turning it in the Record Doctor VI or hand cleaning. I hope this helps Keith! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_325RDVIBK/Record-Doctor-VI-20th-Anniversary-Edition-Gloss-Black.html

Q
Can product remove scratches and crackle from vinyls records?
[ Michael  Apr 11, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
I would say the product won't remove deep scratches but works well removing crackle and his. I would also say it depends on how you've always taken care of your vinyl. It also depends weather your using a quality record cleaning machine or record brush. Also consider using a anti-static device and depending on what type of audio system your playing your vinyl on. On top of line turntables it will dramatically help but using a cheap system turntable it won't help so much!

We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.
