Vibrations can affect the sound quality of high-performance audio gear. Pangea Audio's Vulcan X-brace audio rack adds an extra level of vibration dampening and solid support. Cross braces between the shelves increase rigidity and lateral stability. The rack can be assembled in minutes without tools. It's also modular, so you can add extra shelves, drawers, and other accessories.
Vibration-reducing construction
The shelves are made of 3/4"-thick vibration-dampening MDF coated in scuff-resistant vinyl. The steel support tubes bolt together with the shelves, and the steel X-braces keep everything locked tightly together. Steel spikes minimize contact with the floor — and its vibrations. They rest in tapered polymer cones that further dampen vibrations between the spikes and the support tubes. Metal pucks are included to protect wood floors.

X-Brace 4-Shelf Audio Rack: The Pangea X-Brace 4-Shelf Audio Rack is beautifully designed and well engineered with contoured MDF shelves and a steel bolt-together design that can hold a system's worth of electronic components and gear. Each shelf can support up to 90 lbs for a total stand weight capacity of 360 lbs.
- Top Shelf: The top shelf measures 23.75" wide and 18" deep.
- Middle Shelves: The two middle shelves measures 19.375" wide (between posts), 7.25" tall, and 18" deep.
- Bottom Shelf: The bottom shelf measures 19.375" wide (between posts), 8.75" tall, and 18" deep.
Rigid Construction: The Pangea X-Brace 4-Shelf Audio Rack utilizes dense 0.75" (thick) MDF shelves which are wrapped in a special vinyl material (black, rosenut, or carbon fiber finish) that is very easy to clean and resists scratching, scuffing, and most liquids. Its steel support tubes and braces feature scratch-resistant and resonance-resistant black or silver sand powder coat paint. The stand's unique X-Brace and steel bolt-together design create a super strong and ultra rigid platform.
Open-Air Design: The Pangea X-Brace 4-Shelf Audio Rack's open-air design is great for electronic components and gear. The design maximizes component ventilation and makes it easy to install or remove gear.
Tapered Cone Feet With Spikes: At the bottom of the Pangea X-Brace 4-Shelf Audio Rack are tapered cone feet and carpet-piercing spikes. This cone/spike combination rigidly holds the stand in place and prevents floor vibrations from influencing the turntable's performance. For customers with hard surface floors, a set of "Mini Sonic Saucers" are included to protect wood or tile finishes. You can also purchase Pangea's Vulcan Roll-On Casters (sold separately - see Accessories Tab) to add mobility to the turntable stand.
Optional Additional Shelving: If you need an extra shelf or two for holding components and your vinyl record collection, you can purchase additional add-on shelf kits (sold separately - see Accessories Tab). The 7" tall support tubes for the middle shelves can also be swapped out for 10" tall support tubes (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
Note: You can create any combination of regular and LP-Storage shelves (up to 6) that you like. However, it is not recommended to have combinations that are more than 42" tall.

Very well built; solid and sturdy. Nicely finished also. Very easy to assemble, although it would help some to know that it is easiest to assemble up side down beginning with the top.
