About the Mark Levinson No.5105 MC
It's hard to mistake the Mark Levinson No.5105 turntable. It has the eye-catching look of the company's 5000 series components, including an inch-thick, black anodized solid aluminum front panel and sleek, tinted-glass display. From its elegant-but-burly construction to the tip of its Shibata stylus, this 75-pound 'table will help you get the absolute best from your vinyl.
Every detail and component engineered for stability and precision.
Every one of the '5105's construction details helps maintain stability and quiet operation. The 13-pound aluminum platter attaches to a grounded, hardened steel axle that rotates on an oil-free bearing with integrated lubrication and maintenance-free brass bushings. The power supply and motor nest in compartments machined out of the 2"-thick solid aluminum chassis. A grooved, thermoplastic motor pulley and a square belt fitted around the platter complete the '5105's ultra-quiet drive system.
Sound delivery comes through the rigid, lightweight carbon-fiber tonearm, which features an aluminum headshell with an integrated finger lift and azimuth adjustment. It swings on an aluminum two-axis gimbal. And with its factory-installed low-output Ortofon Quintet Black moving coil cartridge, the '5105 is ready to rotate right out of the box.
Three illuminated buttons on the front panel select between 33-1/3 and 45rpm, or standby. You use the built-in spirit level and three height-adjustable, vibration-isolating aluminum feet to level the 'table.
The '5105 comes with a sculpted, high-mass record weight for holding your vinyl in place, further reducing noise caused by vibration. There's also a cool 12" x 12" gatefold record jacket that holds the turntable's elastomer platter mat in one pocket and setup instructions in the other.
A legacy that sets the bar high
Since the company's inception in 1972, Mark Levinson has set world-class standards for quality, musicality and longevity. If you're lucky enough to find a vintage piece, the asking price may be higher than the original.
We are thrilled that the recently developed 5000 Series brings the legendary sound of this brand into the realm of the attainable for more music lovers.

Precision Tracking w/ Pinpoint Accuracy: The Mark Levinson 5105's ultralight and ridged carbon fiber arm tube provides outstanding cartridge stability. This allows the cartridge and stylus to pick up all the subtle details hidden in your record’s grooves and reveal the crystal-clear dynamics and space of your music. The No5105's custom gimbal ensures low-friction movement both horizontally and vertically, which is critical to creating a wide and deep three-dimensional sound stage. Hear the location of each instrument and the reflections of the room where the music was recorded with pinpoint accuracy.
Ortofon MC Phono Cartridge: The Mark Levinson No5105 comes with a pre-mounted MC (Moving Coil) Phono catridge and stylus on a rigid one-piece aluminum headshell that is engineered to reveal every intricate nuance from a song's original recording with explosive dynamics and an expansive sonic image.
Stable Platform: Machined from solid aluminum, the No5105's plinth and platter are exceptionally stable. To provide a completely quiet platform, the heavy chassis also rests on adjustable isolation feet. The result is extraordinary stability that allows the cartridge to accurately reproduce every intricacy of your music, without interference from external vibrations. It even features an integrated bubble level.
Note: This turntable does not come with a dust cover.
Stereo RCA Outputs: The Mark Levinson No5105 is outfitted with a set of stereo RCA output jacks to connect the turntable to the Phono MC input of your integrated amplifier or AV receiver. If your integrated amp or receiver is not equipped with a Phono MC input, you'll need to purchase an external Phono MC preamplifier (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
Note: If your integrated amp or receiver is equipped with a Phono input, make sure it is MC compatible. Most amps and receivers have a MM compatible Phono input, which would still require an external Phono MC preamplifier.
Detachable AC Power Cord: The turntable comes with a detachable AC power cord that will need to be pluggedin an AC power outlet or surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
