The Dynaudio Connect lets you listen to more sources wirelessly with Dynaudio Xeo or Dynaudio Focus 20 XD speakers. The box connects to your home Wi-Fi® network, so you can access your favorite digital music files from DLNA devices like NAS drives and audio servers. It also offers Bluetooth® with high-quality aptX® audio coding for streaming from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
And, hey, Spotify® Connect access is built-in, so you can stream directly from your existing account (premium subscription required).
Add your wired components to the wireless network
On the back of each Connect, you'll find am analog stereo RCA input along with coaxial and optical digital inputs. There's a mini USB Type B input for playing high-resolution files from your computer. That means practically any audio source, old or new, can be streamed wirelessly to your Dynaudio speakers.

Dynaudio Connect: The Dynaudio Connect connects Dynaudio's Focus XD and Xeo (2nd Gen) speakers to your home WiFi network and lets you stream music directly from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer. Dynaudio Connect even supports Spotify Connect, so you can stream music directly from your Spotify account. The Dynaudio Connect also offers built-in Bluetooth, so you can stream audio directly from your smartphone and tablet to the Focus XD or Xeo speakers. In addition, The Dynaudio Connect features analog inputs (including 3.5mm Aux and stereo RCA input), as well as digital inputs (including miniUSB and optical/coaxial) to connect your external analog and digital audio devices.
Note: The Dynaudio Connect is not compatible with the 1st generation of Xeo speakers.
Built-In WiFi: The Dynaudio Connect is equipped with built-in 2.4GHz WiFi (802.11 a/b/g) for wireless connectivity to your home's WiFi router and your Dynaudio Xeo or Focus HD speakers. This wireless network connection lets you use the Dynaudio Control app (for Apple iOS), so you have access to Spotify Connect and music files stored your Windows PC or other DLNA music server, as well as setup a multiroom audio system.
Note: The Dynaudio Connect is not equipped with a Ethernet (RJ45) LAN connector for a wired network connection.
Dynaudio Control App: The Dynaudio App (for Apple iOS 7.0+) lets you use your compatible Apple iOS device to control the Dynaudio Connect and your connected Xeo or Focus XD powered speakers. Use the app to turn on and off your digital loudspeakers, control volume, change and rename your inputs, control your multiroom setup, or mute the system - all from the comfort of your Apple iOS device.
Note: The Dynaudio Control app is not compatible with Android OS devices.
Spotify Connect: The integration of Spotify Connect will enable Spotify Premium users to instantly select and wirelessly stream music to the Dynaudio Connect and connected Xeo and Focus HD speakers from within the Spotify app (Apple iOS or Android). Spotify is a digital music service that gives you on-demand access to one of the largest music libraries in the world (over 15 million tracks and counting). Spotify makes it easier than ever to discover, manage, and share music with your friends. You can browse music by artist, album, track, or most popular; and create your own music library with customized playlists.
DLNA Certified: The Dynaudio Connect can be used as a DLNA Digital Media Renderer (DMR) to stream PCM stereo audio files (up to 24-bit/96kHz) from a smartphone or tablet, local server, NAS, or computer directly to Xeo or Focus HD speakers. Depending on the device and operating system, many different options for software, both free, trial and payed, that is capable of DLNA streaming are available. Some operating systems (like Windows Media Player in the latest Windows versions) or most NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems even come with DLNA capabilities.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Dynaudio Connect supports Bluetooth A2DP, so you can wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content on your Bluetooth source device to a pair of Xeo or Focus HD speakers. In addition to support for the standard SBC Bluetooth audio codec, the speaker offers support for AAC and aptX. AAC offers higher quality streaming for Apple iOS devices such as your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. aptX audio coding technology provides even better sound quality with lossless, "CD-quality" (16-bit/44kHz) streaming from aptX-compatible smartphones, like many Android smartphones with OS 4.0+.
Note: You can only pair and connect one Bluetooth source device at a time to the Dynaudio Connect.
MiniUSB for Computer Audio: The Dynaudio Connect features a miniUSB input and comes with a 42" miniUSB-to-USB cable to connect to your Windows PC or Mac for playback of 2ch PCM music files stored your computer or laptop. It supports up to 24-bit/96kHz PCM audio files.
Optical & Coaxial Digital Inputs: The optical (toslink) and coaxial (RCA) digital input lets you connect a Blu-ray player and TV with an optical or coaxial digital output. The digital inputs support 2ch PCM only (up to 24-bit/192kHz). It is not compatible with multichannel PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS. Make sure your player or TV's audio output is set to 2ch PCM.
Dual Analog Inputs: The Dynaudio Connect offers two analog audio inputs. There is a stereo RCA input and a 3.5mm aux input. Use the stereo RCA input to connect a CD player or tape deck, while the 3.5mm aux input can be used to connect an portable MP3 player with a headphone output.
Multiroom Audio Distribution: You can use the Dynaudio Connect and Control App to create a multiroom audio system using Dynaudio's Xeo and/or Focal HD speakers. Up to 3 speakers can be connected and controlled individually from the Dynaudio Control app. You are able to play music to a single speaker or all speakers in your home. You can play the same audio source on all speakers or play a difference audio source on each speaker. Compatible multiroom audio sources include Spotify Connect, DLNA, USB, Bluetooth, Optical/Coax, and Aux/RCA. The Dynaudio Connect support can support up to 24-bit/48kHz wireless multiroom streaming using Xeo speaker and 24-bit/96kHz using Focus HD speakers.
Optional Accessories: Add the following accessories (all sold separately) to the Dynaudio Connect for more convenient control, greater wireless range, and the ability to add Dynaudio wireless audio to your existing home audio system.
- Xeo Master Remote: The Xeo Master Remote (sold separately) can be used to turn a Dynaudio Focus XD or Xeo speaker system on and off, change the volume, and select a Dynaudio Connect (up to 3) and its connected signal sources.
- Xeo Extender: The Xeo Extender (sold separately) extends the reception range of the Dynaudio Connect. As a result, Focus XD and Xeo speakers can be operated further away from the Dynaudio Connect.
- Dynaudio Link: The Dynaudio Link (sold separately) receives wireless signals from a Dynaudio Connect and outputs analog and digital signals from its connections to your existing stereo system.
AC Power Adapter: The Dynaudio Connect comes with an external AC power adapter (w/ attached 58" cord) that will need to be plugged into an AC power outlet or surge protector (sold separately).
Mounting Options: The Dynaudio Connect can simply be placed on top of a table, shelf, desk or piece of AV furniture. It also has keyhole slots on the back allowing you to wall-mount the unit (mounting screws not included).
