About the WiZ Motion Sensor
Pretty smart motion sensor
Pretty smart motion sensor
Turn on your WiZ Connected smart lights just by walking in the door.
This battery-powered motion sensor detects movement within ten feet to control WiZ Connected products. Use the free app to turn the sensor on and off and customize the actions it triggers — both when motion is detected and not detected after a selectable amount of time.
WiZ makes a wide range of smart products you can control with this motion sensor. That means you can make a lot of things happen just by walking past. You can turn on the fan connected to your smart plug or tune your white lights to a particular shade and brightness. Or if you're using colored lights, the motion sensor can trigger your choice of literally millions of colors or preset customized lighting scenes.
Customize for the rhythms of the day
You could set the sensor to trigger a very dim illumination during the nighttime hours so you can avoid a shock of bright light in your face, but still see where you're going. That way you won't break a toe when you need to get up to quiet the baby, hit the bathroom, or raid the kitchen — whatever you do on your occasional nocturnal amblings.
Triggered by nothing
You also get to choose what happens when no motion is detected and how long after that the action will occur. For example, instead of just having your living room lights turn off when no one's moving in the sensor's range, you could have them fade to that purple hue that looks so cool from the street at night.
The sensor also has a practical detection delay feature that makes it ignore motion for a certain amount of time after you've manually turned the lights off. Fifteen minutes is the default, but you can customize it. For example, if you habitually turn the lights off when you leave the room, detection delay makes the sensor ignore you so they don't turn on again as you walk out the door.

More details on the WiZ Motion Sensor
Overview: WiZ is a connected lighting system. It includes smart light bulbs, as well as light strips, smart plugs, motion sensors, and remote controls. WiZ lights connect directly to your Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz band) -- no hub needed, or via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet. You can control the products via the WiZ Connected app on your iOS or Android device. You can also control WiZ products with your voice, through your favorite voice assistant.
Motion Sensor: This PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor works with all WiZ Connected devices, including light bulbs, light strips, and smart plugs. The sensor triggers automatic responses to turn on or turn off the lights according to motion detection or lack of motion detection. It can be mounted on a ceiling where it has 360° detection out to a range of 3 meters (10 feet). On a wall, it detects motion out to 3 meters in a 120° arc. When motion is detected, it sends out a response to the WiZ-compatible lights or plugs in the room up to 15 meters (49 feet) away. In the WiZ Connected app, you can set the sensor to trigger different light modes during different times of the day. For example, you can trigger full brightness or cool white light during the day, dimmed or warm white light in the evening, or nightlight after bedtime. The motion sensor is powered by 2 "AA" batteries (not included). You can adjust the sensitivity via a switch inside the sensor. The default setting is to report the absence of motion after 5 minutes. Lowering the response time to up to a maximum of 12 minutes results in an increase in battery life. Dimensions (with base): 2.45" x 2.45" x 1.94" (W x H x D). Weight: 2 ounces (w/o batteries).
Mounting: The WiZ motion sensor comes with a mounting base that lets you swivel and tilt the sensor toward the monitoring area. A single mounting screw and drywall anchor are included. You can also place the sensor on its side on a shelf or in a window if you don't want to mount the sensor.
WiZ Connected App: The WiZ Connected app helps you control and organize your WiZ lights, smart plugs, and other smart products. You can organize all of your WiZ lights into groups within rooms. The app can help you set up schedules for each light, group, room, or whole house. Settings can be stored in the cloud, and can be shared with other members of your family, friends, and guests. The WiZ Connected app is compatible with iOS devices (running iOS 13.0 or later) and Android devices (version 4.4 and up).
Voice Assistants: You can use voice commands to control your WiZ lights through your favorite Voice Assistant, such as Amazon Alexa or Hey Google. You can also control your lights by using voice commands on your smartphone using Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. Wiz lighting products also integrate with other apps, such as IFTTT (If This, Then That), that trigger events based on conditions from other apps. For example, you can set the lights to turn on when your security camera detects motion, or change the color temperature of your lights when the weather changes.
