About the HyperX Alloy Origins™
Style and function
Style and function
The HyperX Alloy Origins keyboard has a sleek, compact profile that looks stylish while giving you plenty of room for dynamic mouse movement. Its durable aircraft-grade aluminum body is designed to stay put when the fingers start flying. And its two-step feet let you tilt the keyboard at three different angles (3°, 7°, and 11°), depending on your preference.
The mechanical key switches feel smooth and responsive. Game-friendly N-Key rollover and anti-ghosting features are on board to ensure that multiple simultaneous keypresses are accurately registered. You can also use HyperX's NGENUITY software for Windows® to bind keys, set up macros, and disable select keys. This lets you optimize your setup to match your needs and the games you play. If you want to get started right off the bat, there's also a library of profile presets to choose from.
Let there be light
The Alloy Origin has a full-color LED for each and every key. These LEDs can be individually adjusted with NGENUITY to illuminate your rig with a snazzy, personalized lightshow. The combination of effects and colors can get pretty intricate, letting you match the lighting to your mood or what you're playing at the time. You could bask in deep, dark red while battling the forces of evil in Diablo II, or mix it up with a light, cool blue when exploring the stars in No Man's Sky. You're call. Either way, you'll be gaming in style.
Bring your keys with you
The keyboard's compact size and detachable cable make it easy to transport. If you're heading to a tournament or just over to a buddy's house for the weekend, you can bring your keyboard along for the ride without much of fuss. You can store up to three light profiles too, saving you the time of reconfiguring when you've made it to your destination.
Red goes faster
HyperX Red linear-style key switches are included in the box. These keys don't have a significant "click," depressing in a straight line with little resistance. This keeps them quiet and lets you press the keys faster. This is especially useful if you need to hit the same keys several times in a row within a short span of time. The HyperX Red keys are well-suited to gaming, where quick fingers and reaction time are essential.
If you prefer the old typewriter feedback of your keys going "clackety-clack" (oh, how I love that sound), the Alloy Origin is also compatible with optional HyperX Blue clicky-style switches. If you'd prefer something that occupies more of a middle ground, the keyboard will also work with the HyperX's Aqua tactile-style keys too.
Works with about everything
The Alloy Origins uses a USB connection that links up with PCs and most of the current and next-gen video game consoles on the market. It'll plug right into a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S. If you play video games, chances are you'll be able to take advantage of the Alloy Origins.
