Know the position of your powersports and 4x4 vehicles
If you're an off-road or powersports enthusiast, you already know what a hassle it can be to bring delicate electronics when you take your side-by-side, ATV, or 4x4 vehicle off the beaten path. Magellan's TRX7 Trail and Street portable GPS navigator sports a rugged chassis and screen designed to handle the elements and still provide accurate guidance. This package also includes a two RAM mounts: a handlebar rail mount built to work with nearly any powersports vehicle, plus a suction-cup mount for 4x4 vehicles. Its included maps cater to your need for off-road exploring, with 3D and topographic displays to help you blaze the trail ahead more accurately. The "Street" part of the navigator's name also means you can use it for journeys across asphalt, too. And the TRX7's Wi-Fi® connectivity lets you save and share your adventures with other bold souls online, so they can check out the amazing rides you've taken.
Maps for the trailmasters
The TRX7 offers basemaps covering the entire U.S. and Canada, giving you a detailed look at your off-road environs either in topographic 2-D view with contour lines or high-resolution 3-D terrain view to determine elevations and land features. It also includes maps of highways and secondary roads, along with hundreds of thousands of key outdoor and off-road points of interest. A barometric altimeter and 3-axis electronic compass come in handy if you're exploring on foot.
Built-in trails database
Magellan loaded the TRX7 with over 115,000 designated off-road trails, so no matter where you live in the U.S. or Canada, you can start exploring immediately. The routes cover forests and public lands and feature reviews and ratings by other off-road enthusiasts. Just select a trail, hit "Follow," and you're on your way.
Forge your own path
Explore unfamiliar territory with confidence as the Magellan leads the way. You can start recording your trail as soon as you begin your trek, and you can hit the "backtrack" button at any point during your excursion to get guidance back to your starting point along the exact same route. And you'll get a warning if you're veering off a trail you're following, so you can get back on the right path quickly.
Different ways to make waypoints
The TRX7 lets you mark different waypoints with different markers to indicate meetup locations, scenic views, campsites, obstacles, and more. And you can record custom waypoints when you're stopped, using current location, GPS coordinates, and more. Name the waypoint and add audio, photos, and descriptions to make them more attractive. While your vehicle is in motion, you can still save a waypoint, but you won't be able to customize it until you're safely stopped. You can also share trails with others via imported and exported GPX files.
A screen you can count on
The Magellan's 7" touchscreen display shows you your surroundings in an eye-friendly manner. Its Android software platform ensures smooth navigation through the user interface, whether you're mapping, tracking your data, or uploading information to social media.
The RAM rail mount attaches the TRX7 to ATV handlebars.
No matter the conditions, you want to be able to count on your navigator when you're deep in the wild. The Magellan's water- and dust-resistant housing keeps it safe from the elements, so you can ford streams and plow through mud holes without fear.
Genuine RAM handlebar rail and suction-cup mounts
The included RAM handlebar mount provides a solid attachment to any rail measuring between 0.5" and 1.25" thick, and it swivels so you can position the navigator on the included mounting plate for the best view. The tough RAM suction-cup windshield mount provides a solid attachment to your vehicle's dashboard or console.
Ready for Wi-Fi
Magellan's TRX Trailhead online portal is where you can share your adventures, find new trails, and interact with other outdoor enthusiasts online, and Magellan made it easy to access through this navigator with built-in Wi-Fi compatibility. You can prepare for your next trip by uploading trails when connected to your home network, and then take advantage of your own portable Wi-Fi hotspot to get online when out in the wild.
The RAM suction-cup mount comes in handy for windshields and consoles.
The TRX7 features a built-in browser, so you can establish an account through the TRX Trailhead portal and have access to user ratings and reviews of different trails, plus custom trails they've created. You can set up a profile for your vehicle and link to your personal Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts to share your adventures with others online. Your TRX Trailhead account can log your trails, trips, and dirt miles covered, and give you achievement badges for milestones reached and destinations visited. There are also companion smartphone apps you can access when you're away from your TRX7 or computer.
Your TRX Trailhead account also lets you rank trails you blaze, including 4-wheel-drive requirements, road conditions, terrain types, pitch, roll, and more. Once you've ranked your trail, you can publish it to the TRX Trailhead online community for sharing and evaluation purposes.
Connect via Bluetooth®
This navigator also allows you to make and take hands-free calls from your compatible phone so you can keep your hands on the wheel of your vehicle and still reach out if necessary.
Free map and software updates
Magellan stands by the TRX7 with free periodic map and software updates. They're available through Wi-Fi, so you don't even have to hook your TRX7 to a computer or download the update to your laptop. A new map update was released in January 2019.

Display: The TRX7 has a 7" color LCD Transmissive touch screen display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, making it easy to view while you navigate.
Bluetooth/Wi-Fi: The device can be connected wirelessly to your smartphone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi through your phone's hotspot. This allows you to connect the unit to the Internet for downloading trails, uploading tracks, or connecting with your friends or off-road community through social media.
GPS: The TRX7 has a Type Ublox-7 high-sensitivity GPS receiver with a built-in multi-directional patch antenna. The GPS receiver is accurate down to 3-5 meters, depending upon signal strength. The device has a barometric altimeter, and a 3-axis electronic compass.
Routes and Trails: The TRX7 has over 115,000 preloaded designated OHV (off-highway vehicle) routes that you can navigate with your 4-wheel drive, ATV, motorcycle, or snowmobile. In addition, the TRX7 gives you access of thousands of user-generated tracks that can be downloaded from Magellan's growing database. You can access this community database from your mobile device, tablet, or laptop. These trails include observations and rankings from individuals, and allow you to search by location, difficulty, rankings, and other criteria. You can review the trail ahead of time, then save it to your Wish List of future trails to visit. The TRX7 comes with free lifetime software and map content updates, available several times per year via Wi-Fi.
Tracking: The Tracking feature lets you track your progress as you navigate a trail, creating a recording of a new track that can be saved and uploaded to the TRX Trailhead community.

When you save the trail you have traveled, the Waypoints and its details are saved along with it so they can be viewed by other enthusiasts who choose your trail.
Off-Course Notifications: The TRX7 will notify you if you get off-course, and will offer you a guide to getting back to the trail. As soon as you leave the trail, an on-screen message alerts you that you have strayed off-course. The Backtrack feature will guide you safely back to the campsite, entry, or any current trail starting point.
Social Networks: The TRX7 can be linked to your Facebook and Twitter accounts for sending posts or tweets to your friends and other members of your off-road community, sharing details of your off-road travels. The unit's hashtag button will even send an automatic, preconfigured tweet from the trail. You must be connected to your smartphone's hotspot, or it will automatically send the post/tweet once the device has a connection.
