About the Stewart Filmscreen WallScreen UST

A high-performance fixed-frame screen for ultra-short-throw projectors

Stewart designed their WallScreen UST specifically for ultra-short-throw projectors — the kind of projector that you can conveniently place on a table just inches away from your screen. WallScreen UST's frame is 3-3/4" thick, with a steep, knife-edge profile adjacent to the fabric. This design minimizes vignetting that can be caused by the sharper angle at which a UST projector's light hits the screen.

The frame's black velvet Velux covering absorbs stray light to help bring out a projected image's color and brightness. This fixed frame is combined here with Stewart's GrayMatte 70 screen material, a neutral density, gray screen surface that dampens cross reflections. GrayMatte 70 works well in darkened home theaters but allows for a little bit of ambient room light.

Streamlined installation

Stewart Filmscreen works hard to take the fuss out of assembling and mounting their screens on the wall. This screen comes intuitively packaged for a straightforward assembly and includes an EZ-Mount wall bracket and hanging bar system. Getting the fabric on is literally a snap, with Stewart's Quick Snap system that neatly aligns the fabric to the frame.

Who is Stewart Filmscreen?

Product Research

Features

WallScreen UST: The Stewart Filmscreen WallScreen UST is specifically designed for ultra short throw projectors that have a unique optical light path. It features a fixed screen that is available in 100", 110", 120", or 130" sizes.

GrayMatte 70 Screen Material: GrayMatte 70 is a lower gain, flexible, front projection screen material formulated perform well with ultra short throw projectors. GrayMatte 70 is a neutral density, gray screen surface that can also dampen cross reflection. This fabric is excellent for neutral attenuation of overly bright projectors on a small projected surface area. GrayMatte 70 offers an extremely wide viewing angle and is a frequent choice when ambient light is not completely controlled.

  • Resolution: up to 16K
  • Peak Gain: 0.7
  • Ambient Light Rejection (ALR): 38%
  • Minimum Throw Distance: 0.1x image width

High Quality Frame: The frame is built using high-quality, aircraft grade aluminum and is hand finished with a rich, velvet Velux overlay. At 3.75" (w) x 1.5" (d), the WallScreen UST frame has a steep, knife-edge profile adjacent to the fabric which minimizes vignetting.

Simple Installation: The Stewart Filmscreen WallScreen UST offers simple and straight-forward installation with a snap-on screen and EZ-Mount bracket system. The frame consists of four pieces (top, bottom, left side, right side) that will screw together, plus two braces that will attach to the back of the frame for added support. Once the frame is assembled, the roll-out projection screen can be snapped onto the frame for a perfect fit. The EZ-Mount bracket system consist of an upper mounting bracket (49.5" wide) and lower magnetic mounts to securely hang the Stewart Filmscreen WallScreen UST on your wall.

Note: See Owner's Manual for specific mounting instructions.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Q
Can I just buy the mounting brackets?

A
Crutchfield does not have the brackets separately. I would recommend reaching out to Stewart directly. The only contact information I have is their web site: https://www.stewartfilmscreen.com/en
