This add-on strip gets its power and Bluetooth connection directly from your existing Nanoleaf Starter kit so it's pretty much plug and play. The Nanoleaf mobile app lets you choose from 16 million colors and loads of cool to warm shades of white light so you can create just the right ambiance for any situation.

Features
Overview: The Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrip lets you add light and color to your living space. The 40" Lightstrip Extension contains dozens of LED sets that emit bright colorful light that you can control. The Essentials Lightstrip Starter Kit is required to use this extension. Essentials lightstrips can be controlled via the in-line controller (included with the Starter Kit), wirelessly via Bluetooth or Thread, or by voice control. The lightstrip is powered by a 30-watt (DC) power supply (included with the Starter Kit). You can add up to eight 1M Extensions to the 2M Starter Kit to increase the length up to 10 meters. You can also trim it to segments as small as 13".
RGBCW: The Essentials Lightstrip features RGBCW LEDs which not only emit 16 million colors (RGB), but also all shades of white, from cool white (C) to warm white (W). There are 21 LED sets per meter, or 7 per 13" cuttable length.
Light Output: The 40" Essentials Lightstrip produces a maximum brightness of 1100 lumens at full output, compared to the 80" Lightstrip in the Starter Kit's 2200 lumens. The light can be brightened and dimmed from 100% to 1%, using the Nanoleaf app, voice, or the in-line controller. You can also cycle through default colors or cool-to-warm white colors, or use a color wheel to select the color output. The Lightstrip can only show one color at a time.
Installation: Essentials Lightstrips are backed with 3M VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape, which holds the strip with industrial strength. You should thoroughly clean the mounting surface before attaching the lightstrip for best results. The lightstrips connect end-to-end via a 6-pin connector.
