About the WAATR CrazyCap Pro

High-performance UV water purification
High-performance UV water purification
WAATR's CrazyCap Pro uses the company's most powerful UV-C sterilization technology to ensure safe drinking water. The cap shines an ultra-powerful 20mW UV-C light on the water inside the bottle, killing microorganisms like bacteria and viruses with just a quick cleaning cycle. It's been shown to eliminate an impressive 99.99999% of contaminants in laboratory testing. That means you can have ready access to water that's safe to drink, even when you're out in nature. You just need a source that's free of debris and particulate matter.

Uses UV-C light to kill bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens
Fresh-tasting water and better sustainability
This bottle is also great to have around the home or office. An automatic cleaning cycle runs every hour to make sure your water won't taste moldy or funky. Single-use plastic water bottles generate lots of waste. And, depending on your locale, the water they contain may not be as safe as it seems. CrazyCap Pro is a travel-friendly, eco-friendly alternative. Good for you, and good for the planet.
Go "Pro" for maximum sterilization
If you're filling the bottle with a safe source like tap water, you can touch the cap twice to initiate a "Normal" (1-minute) cleaning cycle. When filling from natural sources like rivers, streams, or waterfalls, touch the cap five times for a 3-minute "Pro" cleaning cycle, which gives you maximum UV sterilization. Unlike the CrazyCap 2, CrazyCap Pro's more powerful UV-C light comes with protective circuitry that shuts it down when the cap isn't screwed in. (That means you won't be able to use the cap to sterilize other surfaces.)
The cap's built-in rechargeable battery lasts about a week. The included USB-A cable simply slips over the cap to charge it.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The WAATR CrazyCap Pro water bottle comes with a special purifying cap that kills bacteria in minutes. The cap is equipped with a 20mW UV-C LED which is powered by a rechargeable battery. The bottle is made of premium stainless steel with a powder-coated finish that won't fade, even after years of use. The bottle's triple insulation technology keeps water cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. The USB charger fits over the top of the CrazyCap and fully charges the cap in 3 to 4 hours.
UV-C Radiation: The CrazyCap Pro bottle purifies your drinking water using ultraviolet radiation. Scientific studies have found that UV-C Radiation is most effective at killing germs on surfaces. Germicidal UV-C light deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms that can be harmful to your health. The CrazyCap Pro's purification mode destroys 99.99999% of e.coli bacteria and 99.8% of Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) in your drinking water. Tapping the touchpad on top of the cap twice activates the one-minute Normal Mode, which is recommended for disinfecting water from your tap or public fountains. Three taps of the touchpad activates the 3-minute Pro Mode to purify water from lakes, ponds, and rivers.
Smart Safety Sensor: To prevent accidental eye exposure to the UV-C rays, CrazyCap Pro has a 3-second auto shutoff.
Self-Cleaning: CrazyCap has an automatic self-cleaning mode to keep your water bottle sterilized. Once an hour, CrazyCap turns itself on for 15 seconds, shining deep UV light on the inside surface of the bottle to prevent the buildup of mold, bacteria, viruses, and other harmful biohazards. The Self-Cleaning feature can be activated or deactivated with a long press (> 3 seconds) of the touch sensor.
Note: CrazyCap is not designed to remove chemicals, metals, particulates, etc.
Hydration Reminder: The CrazyCap Pro has a Drink Water Reminder feature that helps you stay hydrated through the day. When activated, the LEDs on the cap will slow-blink green three times every 30 minutes. If the cap is not removed for more than two hours, the Drink Reminder will go into standby mode. The Reminder can be toggled on or off by pressing the Activation Button 5 times.
Versatile Cap: Not only does the CrazyCap fit 12-, 17- and 25-ounce CrazyCap and CrazyCap Pro water bottles, it is made to fit Lyt bottles (from WAATR) as well as other popular brands of reusable water bottles. The cap is compatible with "cola-style" S'well (12, 17 oz.), Mira (12, 17 oz.), Simple Modern (12, 17 oz.), Manna, Chilly's (12, 17 oz.), S'ip by S'well (10, 15 oz.), Kingso, Pop, and other popular water bottles. To find compatible brands and sizes, visit WAATR's Find A Cap page.
Rechargeable Battery: The CrazyCap contains a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery to power the UV-C LEDs. The included port-less charging cable fits snugly over the CrazyCap, making contact with the cap's outer rings. The battery fully charges the internal battery in approximately 4 hours, when plugged into an available USB-A charging port. A fully charged battery provides enough power for 5 Normal Mode uses daily for up to 7 days. The cap features a backlit color ring to indicate the battery level: Green = 40% to 100%, Orange = 11% to 39%, Red = 1% to 10%.
