Customer Q&A

Q
Is there a paper layer in these sleeves? The pictures are confusing.

A
No paper, but what I'd describe as very thin "plastic" layer in the front, and slightly thicker layer at the back.

Yes, there is, but no paper comes into contact with the record. The paper insert merely gives some extra stability to the sleeve.

There is no paper layer that contacts the record. IMO these are the highest quality anti-static sleeves you can buy.

Jim: the paper layer is the backing for the sleeve. The record is sandwiched between anti static plastic. After I use the record cleaning device I put the record in the sleeve which does an excellent job of suppressing the static. The sleeves are worth the money. Best regards, Richard

one side of the sleeve is just a thin plastic sheet; the other side is a sandwich of two plastic sheets with a layer of paper inside, as best I can tell. all of the layers are very thin but resistant to tearing. I'm guessing that the paper layer is included to give the sleeves a bit of "body" to help the sleeves retain their shape so that they are easier to use -- the paper is noticeably thicker than the plastic sheet layers
