Wow, I love this turntable. Incredible detail and lively sound. Very easy to set up and I'm a turntable beginner. The ordering process was incredibly easy. I received advice in turntable selection, easily accessed reviews / information on the Crutchfield site and the delivery was very fast (even got the turntable a day early - arrived in less than 24 hours in PA). I never ordered hifi gear online before because I worried it could get damaged. Not in this case, the excellent packaging ensures the product will arrive safely. I was amazed at how carefully the turntable was packaged. I will definitely order again from Crutchfield.
Pros: Easy order process Turntable Sound and build Quality Quick and safe delivery
Cons: Nothing yet

This is a great package. Set up was simple and the instructions were to the point. In use, speed stability is very good, the cartridge is lively, resolving and an excellent tracker and the platter and tonearm do a solid job of suppressing noise. The most obvious trait of the UD +M is it's lively, dynamic sound that's downright fun to listen to. I've got a rather nice digital set-up which sounds fantastic, but it doesn't present music with the verve or the tangible presence that this turntable package does. It's a package that represents a good chunk of change, to be sure, but for me it was worth the investment. One small caveat. The complaints about the dustcover's "floppy" hinges do have some merit. I've gotten used to them quickly, but others might find them to be a pain. I'm not someone who has had to "rediscover vinyl," as I've been listening to records all along. That said, I am somewhat amazed to hear how good my records sound now. Finally, the folks (Hi Trish!) at Crutchfield were very helpful.
Pros: High quality MasterTracker cartridge Easy to set up Runs very quietly Excellent tonal balance: bass, mids, treble - it's all there, nicely balanced
Cons: Some may find the hinges on the dustcover a challenge

Turntable and cartridge are excellent, it fits in very well with my system. This is my first turntable since the 1980's and is well worth it. Some albums give almost a 180 degree sounstage in front of you like "Amused To Death." My system: Bryston 2.5B Cubed amp, Kef R900 speakers, Schiit Freya preamp, MoFi UltraDeck +M Blue Jeans 10 guage speaker wire. Very happy I made this purchase.
Pros: Makes me want to listen to my album's again. Wish I would have purchased it sooner.

I went from a U-Turn Orbit with Ortofon 2M red cartridge to a Mofi Ultradeck with Mastertracker cartridge. I expected a noticeable, clear improvement in vinyl playback. What I got was the opportunity to hear my records for the first time. I can now tell the difference between a good pressing and bad. I can now hear the difference between one phono preamp and another. I can now safely say I prefer analogue to digital unconditionally. I was worried about splurging on a $2000+ turntable set up; now I can't imagine a world where I did not. Clear and revealing on both high end and modest speakers.
Pros: Build quality, simple elegant design, crystal clear sound quality
Cons: Will suddenly reveal deficiencies in your audio chain,
