A pleasant surprise!

Pleasantly surprised - extremely pleased with these speakers! Had limited WAF options and the white Oberon 7's checked all the boxes (the wife is also very happy with them). They came well-packaged and the fit and finish are top-notch. The sound is really nice - very musical and engaging with lots of detail and dynamics. Imaging, soundstage and off-axis performance are solid. Even with their smallish size, bass is impactful, tight and articulate - impressive! I've got them located in an open living room, about 1 foot from the rear wall and 3 feet from each side wall, 6 feet apart, and about 10 feet from the main listening position. Lots of glass and reflective flooring (not an ideal space to say the least) and they're not bright at all. Feeding them up to100 watts of good solid state power for streaming lossless & hi-rez FLAC, shiny discs, and TV sound. Got over 100 hours on them at this point. Bottom line... I wouldn't hesitate to buy DALI speakers in the future even with no WAF restrictions :)
Pros: High WAF Great sound Fit & finish Solid value
Cons: Wish I'd checked out DALI years ago

Very enjoyable sounding speakers. I needed some new speakers for the new house with a larger living room and my old go-to bookshelf speakers didn't quite cut it. I've read some reviews of DALI speakers over the years and thought I'd give them a try. Using with a Hegel H95 @ 60w/channel, so not a ton of power. But the Oberon 7's have enough sensitivity that the synergy between the Hegel and 7's is good. I'm using them for 2 channel HT and Cd's - streaming to come later. The sound is clear and clean, but "organic" with good weight and definition. No harshness or haze, just a smooth, rich sound. I think just a touch on the warm side of neutral. I'm debating whether or not I even need a subwoofer, because the bass is solid, if not super deep. I listen to a lot of classical and jazz at moderate listening levels - around 60-70 dB. They do a great job with music and the dialogue for HT is clear and distinct. They're easy to set up - not super fussy about placement- and they sound good wherever you are in the room. I also like the aluminum stands built in to the bottom of the cabinets, they increase stability. Quick delivery from Crutchfield. Overall, I'm very happy with these speakers.
Pros: Rich, organic and musical sounding. Strong midbass and smooth highs.
Cons: None that I can think of.
