About the SPL Boxes SB212SV

We all know how a good subwoofer can enhance your musical enjoyment, but not everyone wants to build their own box. SPL Boxes to the rescue! These heavy-duty enclosures can take the punishment of the car environment, with rugged 3/4" MDF construction and a 1" front panel to give your sub added support. Attractive and tough charcoal carpet protects the box from nicks and dings, while gold-tipped spring terminals hold your speaker wires securely. Product Research

Design: The SB212SV is an unloaded, ported enclosure for two 12" subwoofers. It's constructed of ¾" MDF (medium-density fiberboard) with a 1" MDF front baffle and covered in charcoal colored carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has two separate chambers, each with a volume of 1.6 ft³. The tuning frequency is 39 Hz. While each sub has its own chamber, there is only one exterior port opening, and the subs share the last 13¾" of port length.

Terminals: The wire terminals are spring-posts (two pair) mounted on the back of the enclosure. The spring terminals will accept pin connectors and bare wire up to 12-gauge. Inside the enclosure there are 0.205" male quick-slides (will accept 0.205" female quick slides) for both the positive and negative terminals. The wire can also be attached using the nuts holding the quick-slides in place.

Note: Speaker wire is needed to connect the terminals to the subwoofers.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure in your vehicle are recommended.
