About the Tributaries Series 8 Model 8AD MKII

Reference-grade digital audio interconnect
Reference-grade digital audio interconnect
Before he founded Tributaries in 1991, owner Joe Perfito spent 15 years working for McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. Back then, he says, the concept of designing cables based on sound scientific principles was considered extremely radical. That became his company's mission, though, and it continues to produce audio cables designed to curtail distortion, deliver reliable tonal balance, and reduce the noise floor to near zero to bring your music to life with rich detail.
Use this cable for digital audio connections — such as from a CD player or network streamer to a high-performance DAC — and you'll get clear, transparent, and open sound.
Linear-crystal copper conductor for a super-clean signal
This cable uses ultra-pure, highly conductive, linear-crystal oxygen-free copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications. The copper is plated with 2.5% silver that allows for smooth, transparent, distortion-free signal transfer with an exceptionally wide frequency response. Plus, the cable features heavy triple-shielding that reduces noise and electromagnetic interference.
It also features robust insulation consisting of polyethylene foam sandwiched between two layers of skin to further ensure virtually noise-free flow for your music.
Highly conductive tellurium copper connectors
Gold-plated RCA plugs made with tellurium copper give this cable's connections excellent conductivity and durability. And they're silver-soldered to the cable, for a clean, neutral signal transfer that lets your music come through with clear, uncolored brilliance.
Built to last
Every Tributaries audio cable is hand-made by skilled technicians in Orlando, Florida, using high-quality materials. Each cable must pass strict multi-level quality controls and comes with the assurance of a limited lifetime warranty.

Features
Model 8AD MKII Coax Digital Audio Cable: The Tributaries Series 8 Model 8AD MKII digital coaxial cable incorporates a host of patented technologies and is precision engineered to support wide bandwidth applications and transmit multichannel audio accurately.
- Linear Crystal Oxygen Free Copper (LC-OFC): The Model 8AD MKII digital coaxial cable features extremely high-grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) that is silver plated to support higher frequency performance specifically for digital audio applications.
- Dieletric + Triple-Shielding: To maintain a consistent 75 Ohm impedance, the Series 8 digital audio cable's 18AWG silver-plated center conductor is surrounded by three perfectly concentric layers of dielectric which consist of a skin, foamed PE and a final skin. Furthermore, heavy triple-shielding blocks noise from entering the signal path.
- High Quality Connectors & Jacket: The Model 8AD MKII digital audio cable is silver soldered onto proprietary RCA connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper contacts, increasing conductivity and strength. The coax digital audio cable also features a decorative woven jacket over flexible PVC.
Note: Assembled by hand with foreign and domestic parts in Orlando Florida, USA.
