About the Sure Petcare Hub
A little whimsy won't hurt
Monitor your pets' comings and goings while you're stuck at work.
A little whimsy won't hurt
As more and more of our devices get "smart," the hubs that control them can start to accumulate. So I love the fact that Sure Petcare went playful with the look of their Connect Hub — you'll never confuse this one for the hub that links your security cameras or your lights!
Connect to your pet
Don't be fooled by how cute it is — this humble device works hard to keep you connected to your pet. It links your Microchip Pet Door Connect to the internet and, in doing so, turns it into the world's first app-controlled pet door. Just download the free Sure Petcare app and you can remotely lock or unlock the door, set curfews, and receive notifications when your pet enters or leaves the house.
Knowing what's normal for your pets can be key to noticing deviations from their routines. So the app offers a helpful “Insights” section that shows you how many times your pet exited the house and the average time he or she spent outside over the course of the day, week, or month.
The really fun part
Using the Sure Petcare app, you can create a profile for each of your pets using the ID number programmed into the door. From there, you add their names and super adorable (or hilarious!) profile pictures. So behind the scenes, your SureFlap Connect door is communicating with the hub and the app, but all you see is a cute (or silly!) photo of your kitty, along with whatever action she just performed.

More details on the Sure Petcare Hub
Overview: The Sure Petcare Hub (iHB) is a wireless link between your smartphone or tablet and other Sure Petcare Connect products. With the Hub, you can control your Connect products using the Sure Petcare app. The Hub plugs into your Wi-Fi router using the included Ethernet cable. Up to 10 Connect products can be wirelessly connected to the Hub. In addition, the Hub will send a notification to your smartphone/tablet whenever your pet enters or leaves the house through the Pet Door Connect, and will store this data in the app.
SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect: The Pet Door Connect recognizes your dog's or cat's RFID microchip or collar tag and unlocks the door to allow your pet (and only your pet) to come inside. It allows any animal to exit. With the Hub, you can set schedules to lock or unlock the door at specific times, or manually control the door. The Hub also compiles data on when your pet goes out and comes in, so you can track his whereabouts when you're away.
Sure Petcare App: The Sure Petcare app, available for iOS (9.0 or later) and Android (4.4 and up) devices, lets you control your Connect products from your smartphone or tablet. From the app, you can remotely lock or unlock the pet door, and view his activity throughout the day. Historic data stored in the app lets you view changes in your pet's activities, which may indicate an injury or illness.
Wi-Fi: The Sure Petcare Hub plugs into your Wi-Fi router via the supplied Ethernet cable. It operates on the 2.4GHz band only. The Hub has two "ears" on the top that glow to indicate it's powered on. The ears flash when it receives a notification from the Connect product.
Power: The Hub is powered by an AC adapter (included) with a 5' USB power cable. The AC adapter has switchable plug adapters for US, Euro, UK, and Australia power outlets.
