I haven't used with a usb mic, however I connected some usb devices to iPhone using it without an issue (such as Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt DAC and Oppo HA-2 SE DAC).

I don't believe it does. Looks like you connect via Bluetooth or USB from the rear.
