Product Research
Features
Overview: The Classic In-Ground Fence Receiver Collar (PIG00-17441) is an add-on collar to a wide variety of PetSafe In-Ground Fence and Pawz Away® Pet Barrier systems (see list below). The collar features two contact points that deliver a static correction to your dog that reminds your pet to stay within the boundaries. The receiver is powered by an internal Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The package includes the 3/4" gray fabric collar strap, receiver, two sets of contact points, and battery charger cable. You can add an unlimited number of Receiver Collars to a PetSafe boundary or barrier product. The collar is recommended for dogs over 5 pounds, who are at least 6 months of age.
Compatible Products: The Classic In-Ground Fence Rechargeable Receiver Collar can be added to the following PetSafe products:
- Classic In-Ground Fence System (PIG00-17440)
- Pawz Away Indoor Pet Barrier (ZND-1000, ZND-1200)
- Pawz Away Threshold Pet Barrier (PWF00-14406, RFA-514)
- Pawz Away Mini Add-A-Barrier (PWF00-14040)
- Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier (RFA-378, PWF00-11923)
- Pawz Away Mini Pet Barrier (PWF00-13665)
Charging the Receiver: The receiver is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery charges in approximately 2-3 hours, and each charge can last up to 3 weeks.
Operation: The Receiver Collar comes with two short contact points that touch the neck of your dog. Longer contact points (supplied) may be needed for dogs with long or thick fur. If your pet approaches or goes beyond the boundary, the contact points will issue a safe, but startling correction, similar to the static you feel if you drag your feet across a carpet, then touch a door handle. There are five levels of static correction, plus a tone-only response to accommodate every pet. The waterproof collar fits dogs with neck sizes from 6 to 26 inches, and can be trimmed to fit. Training your pet to respond to the collar involves 15 minutes of training per day over 14 consecutive days. The receiver collar will emit a Warning Tone when your pet enters the Warning Zone -- an area approaching the buried boundary wire or electronic barrier where the collar begins to respond. If he continues into the Correction Zone, the collar will deliver a Static Correction (if set to Level 2 or higher). The Receiver Collar's response levels include:
Static Correction Level | Receiver Collar Function | Temperament of Pet |
1 | No Static Correction; Tone only | Initial Training Mode |
2 | Low Static Correction | Timid |
3 | Medium Low Static Correction | Timid or Average |
4 | Medium Static Correction | Average Energy |
5 | Medium High Static Correction | Average or High Energy |
6 | High Static Correction | High Energy |
