About the Profile AP1000M

Power, control, and a great price. You'll get all of that with Profile's AP1000M mono subwoofer amp. It's a great choice when you're looking to bring on the bass it'll deliver 310 teeth-rattling watts at 4 ohms, with a jaw-dropping 500 watts of power coming your way at 2 ohms.
The level of control is amazing for an amp in this price range. It starts with a handy remote-mount bass control mount the control in a convenient spot (16.4 foot cable included) and you can adjust the level of bass output right from your driver's seat! The continuously adjustable phase control (0-180 degrees) ensures that the bass will blend properly with the rest of your system.
You can dial in just the right amount of thump with the variable bass boost. You can also eliminate reproduction of inaudible, power-wasting frequencies that can damage your woofers with the variable subsonic filter.
Thanks to the speaker-level inputs, the AP1000M hooks up easily to a factory stereo. Adding more than one amp? The preamp outputs let you send signal to a second amp without running extra patch cables from the receiver.

Warranty Note
Power Strip: This Profile California AP1000M amplifier features a bright red power light strip on the top center of the unit to indicate when the amp is turned on. The 4-3/4" power light strip consists of six LEDs. The green LED on the power/speaker terminal side of the amplifier will also light when power is sent to the amp.
Bass Level Remote Control: This amp is equipped with a wired remote control that allows you to adjust the level of the amplifier. The remote is designed to be mounted under the dash to allow control from the driver's seat. Dimensions: Width=1.585" (2.566" including mounting tabs), Height=0.75", Depth=1.368" (1.758" including knob), Cable length=16'.
High-to-Low Level Converter: The amp is equipped with an external high (speaker) level to low (line) level converter to allow you to connect the amplifier to a receiver or factory radio without RCA preamp outputs. After splicing the receiver's speaker wires to the converter's speaker wires, you can simply plug the converter into the amp's RCA preamp input.
Line Outputs: The AP1000M includes a pair of RCA line outputs for sending an unfiltered signal to another amplifier or component without splitting the signal.
Protection Circuits: This amp has three types of protection circuits: DC offset, short circuit and thermal protection. The red LED on the right side of the amplifier will light to indicate that the amplifier has gone into protection.
Built-In Crossover: This amplifier includes a built-in variable low pass filter with a slope of 12dB/octave. The low pass filter is continuously variable from 50-250Hz.
Note: The low-pass filter cannot be turned off; it is always active.
Bass Boost: For added low frequency performance, this amplifier has a 0 to 12 dB variable bass boost centered at 45 Hz.
Subsonic Filter: The AP1000M features a built-in variable subsonic filter with a slope of 12dB/octave. The subsonic filter is continuously variable between 20-50Hz. This filter avoids the reproduction of inaudible low frequencies which could damage subwoofers because they can generate over-excursion of the subwoofer cone.
Note: The subsonic filter cannot be turned off; it is always active.
Phase Control: This amp is equipped with a continuously adjustable phase lag control on the subwoofer(s) from 0 to 180 degrees. This control helps to align the phase shift of a subwoofer for a smooth blending, without canceling the bass from other speakers or subwoofers.
Gold-plated Terminals: The AP1000M features gold-plated speaker and power terminals and RCA jacks for maximum signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
Set Screw Terminals: The power and ground connections feature set-screw terminals that can accept up to 4-gauge bare wire. The remote turn-on and speaker output set-screw terminals can accept up to 6-gauge bare wire. Two Allen wrenches (2.5mm and 3mm) are supplied to tighten/loosen the set screws.
Remote Turn-on: In addition to turning on and turning off the amplifier via the head unit's remote output, the remote turn-on also operates the reset circuit for the amplifier's protection system. The remote turn-on lead must be connected to the head unit in order to reset the protection circuits.
Bass Remote: The amp has a female RJ-11 phone jack for plugging in the Bass Level Remote Control cable.
Warranty: The manual indicates a 1-year parts and labor warranty, however Profile has extended the warranty to three years parts and labor for units purchased from Crutchfield.

This Amp was an upgrade from a older Profile I had and I couldn't be happier. The 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms is a perfect match for my 2 Infinity 1030's. I just had to get use to my ear drums rattling when I turned it up :)
