Love this thing! Looks amazing. Brings my JK out of the dark ages.
Cons: None so far

I bought a refurbished unit (trying to save a few $$). installed it perfectly, although Alpines installation directions have a lot to be desired. Looks great, sounds great but has some quirks. Every 5 or 10 times you turn the ignition on, I get a 'standby' on the dashboard. It has taken up to 2 or 3 minutes to power on. It has also become unresponsive a few times. It does not respond to and buttons, screen touches, or anything for 2 to 3 minutes. It is what it is. I suspect this is why it may have been returned. Truthfully, I don't feel like pulling it out of the dash, waiting for a replacement and leaving a gaping hole in my dash. I keep hoping that it will magically quit and everything will be fine but alas, the is my 2nd Alpine product and the first one ended up in the garbage.
Pros: nice, clean, versatile
Cons: quirky, feels like there is a beta system running on this unit.

very happy with the Alpine i209 Restyle System. Had it in stalled locally along with upgrades to my speaker system for my 2017 Jeep wrangler. The System works seamlessly with my factory controls. there is a noticeable difference in sound quality and over all sound in my complete system . I would recommend this product to anyone who has a jeep wrangler.

Fantastic upgrade from stock system! Sounds significantly better than factory system in the dash but still looks like it is designed to be there. Alpine took care of the little details as well - including accent lights that match the stock system in the wrangler. This system looks and sounds incredible and my wife couldn't be happier with this new addition to her Jeep! Alpine knocked this one out of the park!
Pros: Better sound and audio control More upscale look and feel than stock Much simpler UI than stock and very easy to learn and use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Cons: Not really a con but more of a side note: Install is slightly more involved than normal as you must cut the factory dash panel. I don't use my Dremel much so I was concerned I might mess the dash up if I didn't get the cut perfect. Much to my delight, the new dash panel leaves a significant margin for error so you don't have to be a pro to make it look perfect! The wiring was almost completely plug and play so it was much less work than a traditional head unit install.

Overall the product is great. The install wasn't extremely difficult. It helped I watched a couple videos from other installers. I also called into Crutchfield customer service and they were simply amazing like always. If I went by just simply the instructions that came with the unit it would have been much tougher. Other than the install instructions the unit works great. I went on the first trip with it installed this weekend and it worked perfectly. Different passengers even commented on how nice the alpine system looked. If you are going to purchase this unit, buy it from Crutchfield, the customer service is second to none.
Pros: Ease of use Larger screen CarPlay features
Cons: Lack of install instructions.

This was a great upgrade to my Wrangler. I get at all the tech of a new Jeep without to trade my Jeep that I love. The sound is great (I upgraded all my speakers at the same time), and I'm no longer frustrated with uConnect.
Pros: Sounds great, GIANT screen, CarPlay, no more uConnect
Cons: Expensive, challenging installation

At this point I will only give it one star, I installed it and it worked great for the first 2 days. I drove to Canada for a work trip, and now when my jeep is worm from the sitting in the sun all day it will do noting but power cycle and have no sound until you stop and power off for 30 seconds and re start the jeep. Alpine says you pay for shipping to return it, and they pay for shipping to send it to you after 7-10 business days in the repair shop. This is a horrible option since I work 12 hour days and travel 90% of my time.
Pros: Looks nice, big screen, and nice backup camera.
Cons: Never works until I cool the jeep down. no sound when it finally stays on until you shut off the jeep for 30 seconds. bad repair process, they should send you a replacement and you send back the non working unit.

Very good, very pleased, my only problem is that they seem to be too much for my aftermarket speakers and subwoofer. I may have to buy different ones, which sucks but if anyone knows how I can change the settings or whatever let me know

Good product but the instructions are terrible and out of order. The Crutchfield directions are unfortunately generic and no help at all.
