Alpine's always been in the forefront of making their car stereos smartphone compatible, including adding an HDMI input to their newer Restyle custom-fit navigation receivers, as well as their new disc-free video receivers. But one HDMI input might not be enough if you want to take advantage of both your smartphone and another video source through your receiver's display. Alpine's KCX-630HD HDMI Switcher solves that problem by giving you a pair of HDMI inputs, plus a USB port for providing power to your smartphone or tablet.
The KCX-630HD offers a single HDMI output, which can send the video signal from either your smartphone or the video source (typically a separate DVD player) to the receiver's screen. You can choose the HDMI input you want to use through the receiver's touchscreen. The included wiring harness connects to your vehicle's wiring, your reciever, and the video source. Alpine includes an HDMI cable and a bracket to keep your cables securely connected. This compact switcher stores neatly in your glove compartment for easy access.
Works as intended.

Works as intended.
The HDMI selector box is very useful to add other HDMI components and it works great. Would have given it 5 stars if was included with the head unit since the reimagining head unit is already super expensive.
Pros: Great unit works great Sleek design to fit in small areas Easy to install
Cons: Price Should be included into the re-imaging style head unit
Enabled me to be able to add all the additional audio equipment I needed. Works as advertised.
Pros: Enables you to add audio equipment. Works well
HDMI Selector: The Alpine KCX-630HD HDMI selector provides two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. The KCX-630HD allows you to add a second HDMI input to 2016-up Alpine navigation receivers that feature a single HDMI input, so you can connect two HDMI devices to the receiver. It also includes a USB charging port for smartphone & tablet devices.
Compatibility: Alpine's KCX-630HD HDMI selector is compatible with 2016-up Alpine navigation receivers with a single HDMI input; including the X108U, X109D, X110-SLV, X110-SRA, and INE-W967HD.
Note: You will need to indicate you are using the KCX-630HD HDMI selector within your compatible Alpine navigation receiver's menu, so the receiver will display the HDMI 2 source selection.
HDMI Inputs/Output: Alpine's KCX-630HD HDMI selector consists of two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. The HDMI inputs will accept 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p video signal. The HDMI output will only output a VGA, 480i/p, or 720p video signal; so any 1080i/p video input signal will be down-converted. A 5' HDMI cable comes with the KCX-630HDMI selector.
USB Power: The Alpine KCX-630HD HDMI selector also includes a USB (type-A) port to charge your smartphone or tablet device. The USB port is rated at 5V/2.1A. The USB port does not provide any audio/video transfer or control capability.
Wiring Harness: The included wiring harness plugs into the KCX-630HD's molex port (labeled "Power") and connects to your vehicle's wiring, as well as the Alpine navigation receiver and Alpine's DVE-5300 DVD player.
