incompatible so far with ILX207
Crutchfield customer from Ashburn, VA on 5/3/2021
this unit has not worked with its own company sound system (ILX207) and cabling too long but instruction is not clear. are they long because they are suppose to go to the back of the vehicle connecting to break/reverse lights? not clear at all in the instruction and no luck making it work

Fun toy for your vehicle when you want a front view.
Crutchfield customer from Savage, MN on 1/14/2021
I'm giving this only 4 stars because the crimp down electrical connectors supplied with it are no good. Cut them off and use a better connection to eliminate a lot of potential troubleshooting time when things don't work. Also, be sure to supply it with a true accessory 12V on the red wire. Otherwise, the toggle button will stay illuminated and the cameras will stay powered up and drain your battery in a day or two. Once wired correctly, it works great to show you your non-backup cameras at any time while pressing the On/Off button. I'm using this with the SGS-CH01, the spare tire bracket mounted WRA rear camera and a 2600FD front camera in my '16 Wrangler with the factory Alpine system radio. It's cool being able to see my tire placement when out on a trail.
Pros: View up front while driving. Straightforward install.
Cons: Unreliable crimp connectors.

It works

I bought this only because I wanted to use the Alpine HCE-C2100RD rear camera with the Alpine ILX-F259, and Alpine tech support said you need this switcher and the corresponding front camera to make that happen.
Pros:
Cons: I don't know if this con applies to the ILX-F259 or the switch but Alpine engineers really screwed up when it comes to calibrating the rear camera guidelines. You cannot access this setting when the car is in reverse, so they tell me I must tear open my dash, disconnect the reverse-in lead and give it 12V before I can calibrate the guidelines. Ridiculous.

GREAT CAMERA INTERFACE/SWITCHER
Sly from Oklahoma City, OK on 2/28/2019
I purchased this dual camera interface to use with the iLX-F309 which I installed in newly restored Nissan Z32. This vehicle has manual transmission and the camera interface responds quickly and perfectly when reverse gear is chosen. I use the HCE-C2600 for the front camera and the HCE-C1100HDR for the rear. The cameras images are stunningly clear and the mounted switcher button fits nicely with interior and works flawlessly when using it to choose front camera.
Pros: A great plug and play product.
Cons: I saw a one star review on this item that I didn't understand. I guess boiler head-unit and camera compatibility would help for those having configuration and compatibility issues.

Scrolling image
Jason from Houston, TX on 7/27/2018
I paired this camera switch with the alpine ilx 107, HCE -TCam1 for a backup camera, and HCE-2600FD for a front camera for my Jeep Wrangler. Any time the selector is used to switch cameras the image continuously scrolls across the display for 5-10 seconds then stops with a normal image. After contacting Alpine customer service, was informed that this hardware combination does this and there is no way around it. Pretty annoying that this product is sold with no mention of these issues by Alpine. If I had known this, I would not have bought this switch or the front camera.
