Pointless Sophistication

Great anticipation, has potential, good idea. Was a step up in flexibility from my PXA-H800 processor and RUX-C800 controller which I had for seven years. PXE-X09 works with direct Bluetooth connection, in fact this is the only way I got it to work in my car. Factory amplifier turns off when connected to the X09. No audio from factory radio to processor when this occurs. Nothing works really well, cheap with the controller design. Alpine customer support says "the processor will not work properly using speaker level input from a factory source, without a channel summing device" For this price? Why does it come with 16 speaker wire to RCA composit adapters? I need a channel summing processor that outputs 16 channels for my Alpine processor? If Crutchfield's customer service wasn't so much better than Alpine's, I would have just returned it. Waiting on a replacement due to the factory amp going in protect when I connect it to the PXE. Could be a high impedance issue, factory amp is 'looking for' a 4 - 8 Ohm load not 48K. This would be on me and I will do a future edit to this review if it is.

If Crutchfield's customer service is much better or I would have just returned it. Oh!, my factory amp goes into protect when I connect it to the PXE.
